No line today though ladies at 12pm (so, not my morning wee) but hoping my wee was just too diluted from all the water I've had to drink this morning to show up the low level hcg again? Is that possible? Any thoughts or advice? I'm frustrated x

HayleyD84 · 13/08/2019 13:46

@Ellabella234 could have been too diluted.
I would try again with your first morning urine.

Fingers crossed for you. xxxxx

Ellabella234 · 13/08/2019 13:57

Thank you @HayleyD84 I guess at this early stage the morning urine is important. Can a FR test show a pink coloured line (faint) if it's negative? I've been trying to look it up and I think conclusion is that tests only show colour on second line, even if a faint line like on my test, if HCG has been picked up? Xxxx

Ohana6419 · 13/08/2019 13:59

@Ellabella234 I don't think it can turn pink if it's negative, something about it reacting to the hcg that is the only way it will turn pink. You can of course get evaps or indents, but if you're seeing pink then that's almost certainly positive.

Hopefully you will get a better result with FMU tomorrow, fingers crossed for you 😊

DragonOnFire · 13/08/2019 14:07

Looks positive to me! How early are you testing? I don't think I got a decent line until the day my period was expected or even after and I drove myself crazy looking at faint lines! These early response tests are not that amazing so you won't get a clear result until your period is late. But yes, they will only give even a hint of a line when you are actually pregnant. Heres a pic of my early tests (close to date of period due) with the clear blue at the bottom taken a week or 2 later. Patience is so tough to have at this time, but congratulations!

Is this a line please??!!
Ellabella234 · 13/08/2019 14:44

@DragonOnFire congratulations - are you pregnant now or was this in the past and baby is here now? Yes it's very early I think. My cycles are a little all over the place but generally around 41days long. So I would be around 12DPO now. AF due sometime over next few days. I might test again with FMU tomorrow Cos I can't help myself! Xx

Thanks @Ellabella234 yes sorry should have said he's now a happy 5 month old 😊
I just remember going up the walls looking at faint lines because I 'felt pregnant' so was taking tests before I had missed a period. I eventually realised I was getting stressed & spending £££ testing too early. The lines were still faint after I missed my period and none of the results were very clear until well after my period due date. Just wanted to put your mind at ease that you probably won't get a nice strong line until your period is several days over due. But your faint result looks a lot like mine- a BFP I'm sure! Congrats x

Ellabella234 · 13/08/2019 15:42

Thanks @DragonOnFire yes I've spent too much £ on tests since I had what I think was IB a week and a half ago on day 30 for a few days. it was way too early for all those tests! I have a 2.5yo gorgeous girl already so my hands are very full with her, wild little beauty, but it's magical if another little one is deciding to settle in cosy in my tummy now. I'll take another tests in the morning i think. My Clue app says AF is due tomorrow , day 42. Xx

Congratulations!!! No matter how light a line on the frer it means positive xx

Ellabella234 · 13/08/2019 15:44

Thank you ladies. I hope you're right ❤️

Is this a line please??!!

Ellabella234 · 14/08/2019 08:28

No line this morning on my FRER that I can see. I don't understand. What does this mean? Why would I have a faint pink line after 4/5 mins the day before yesterday and now no line with my FMU today? I have no cramps or bleeding. Today is day my AF is due looking at my Clue app. X

Just keep holding on, still early days. So frustrating, but the early response tests aren't that great, so I wouldn't lose hope . Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Superstar41 · 17/08/2019 10:00

Did you do another test, are you pregnant ? :) x

Ellabella234 · 17/08/2019 11:14

I had two blood tests done for hcg over 3 days and my levels were 1 so no, I'm not pregnant. If I was, I'm not anymore. Who knows if I ever was I'm not sure x

Sunflower2019 · 17/08/2019 17:00

Oh no sorry! This has happened to me before and usually means a chemical! Xx

Superstar41 · 17/08/2019 17:58

Oh no that’s heartbreaking x absolutely gutted x

HayleyD84 · 30/08/2019 22:44

@Ellabella234 so sorry, this happened to me too Sad is heart breaking to have your hopes up.

I definitely think testing after AF is late is better for your sanity but I always cave and do one early lol.

Hope you get your BFP soon xxx

Ellabella234 · 04/12/2019 18:35

@Sunflower2019 @Superstar41 @HayleyD84 Just wanted to say thank you for your replies in August. I hadn't realised I didn't reply. I am now in a similar position again with these tests. Even fainter than my August though so I may be kidding myself. I can't upload them today as I've uploaded them in another thread for people's opinions. I have now had a bit of brown when wiped (sorry) which is now a pinky red blood after I go for a wee. Not sure if AF or IB..... hope you ladies are ok x

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and just wanted to add this message because I think it's quite important to share my experience.

After hearing a lot about how reliable FRER (First Response Early Result) tests were I decided to use it to test.

On 9DPO I decided to use my first FRER test and to my amazement I had what I thought was a faint PINK positive test. Out of shock I then decided to take the second test out of the packet and dip it (please note this is all with the exact same urine sample). This test came out stark negative. I was extremely confused so opened a second pack of FRER and dipped a third test. This test came out with a faint pink POSITIVE!

Needless to say I dipped the fourth test and yep you guessed it...NEGATIVE!

Because I was completely confused I opened a third pack (I had already stocked up from Amazon) and dipped a test in water. To my amazement it came up with a very faint pink positive line. I noticed that on some of these tests if you look really closely there is already a faint line on an un-used test.

I think this is so bad for women who are trying to conceive like myself and really rely on these "faint" lines to indicate an early pregnancy.

For a test that poses to indicate pregnancy "6 days prior to missed period" they should not be selling tests with fake faint positives.

Please just be aware of this. As I said it was not a "Chemical" because I used the exact same urine sample PLUS a glass of water! The lines were also pink although very faint.

Hopefully this might help anyone else who had had this experience and was confused as I've seen a few posts on here already of women having similar experiences.

Please just be cautious as if I had not taken the second test I would genuinely believe I was pregnant. Angry
