So me and my partner want to start trying for a baby I have never been pregnant before and never have conceived. My periods have always been irregular so I don't know when my eggs are being released, what's the best thing to do/use if your trying to get pregnant I heard taking folic acid helps is here anything else out there that anyone has taken and they have caught pregnant?

Folic acid need to be taken but that’s to help with things like spina bifida. You can buy supplements. It doesn’t help you get pregnant.

If your periods are irregular it may be work that asking your doctor to do bloods.

In some places they will not do this unless you have been trying for a year or more.

My advice would be not to think about it and have fun especially at the start.

@ashleigh96x my friend used the clear blue ovulation kit, download an app and use it for the first month to gage your cycles and continue to use around that time to find your best day.
Google cervical mucus and get to know your body, that is a huge indication your ovulating and the kit can tell you the best day to DTD.
100% start taking folic as soon as you can, I bought pregnacare vitamins but the stopped my cycle so I've stuck to folic acid and omegas from Sainsburys.
Another method of tracking when your ovulating is to take your temperature every morning (your temp will spike before you release an egg)

Good luck, we are starting next month Smile
