Hi..quick question re my grown son and his partner. Date of conception 29 july 18 not sure LMP (last menstrual period) can you work out when baby would have been due latest?..even with overdue as I believe they wont let you go much over 2 weeks.

Assuming conception is around the time of ovulation, and her cycle is typical, lmp would be 2 weeks before. So due latest (2 weeks over) early April. Of course I could be COMPLETELY wrong here.

Too many variable factors to work this out. Ask your son when he had sex with her? Get a DNA test?

It’s very difficult to know as you don’t know her cycle. She could have ovulated early or late so therefore nearly 2 weeks of April into May could have been her due date even longer if she has longer cycles.

No her due date by conception would be the 21st April going from the 29th July only if and a big if she ovulated on day fourteen. Far to many variables as another poster said.

Ok..what happened is the last date they had sex was 29 july for definite..baby was born 26 may is this even possible that's too long isn't it, they have split and are going through stuff so cant ask her nothing and she wouldn't tell me anyway

If July 29th was conception, period would have been roughly 2 weeks before meaning a due date of 20 something of March, early April if late. Of course this all depends on cycle length, I'm just going my average

I assume there was a dating scan? Can't your son just ask for a dna test if he is unsure

Thanks alot for the statements about how weird a question it is..and the obvious about DNA tests.. we will be doing that this. is just me I thought I could get a bit of help here in just for my peace of mind. Those if you that offered genuine help.. a genuine thank you.

If you work it out on average. Conception 29ish July 18 give or take a week for ovulation but if count back 2 weeks to the 15th July going by average 28day cycle and then count 40 weeks from then. Due date 21st April. Having sex for the last time on the 29th and then baby to be born 5 weeks after that due date. I would say it’s not your sons even if she did ovulate 7 days later after sex and went to 42 weeks baby would have been 44 weeks later and yes that’s never going to happen.

42 weeks is the longest you'd ever go, and this one was at least 44 weeks. Sounds like your son needs to get some DNA testing done.

Due date should be around 20/04 so even at 2 weeks over, around 4/05.....
