Pos OPK as a preg test!!pls help!

Period about 3 days late. Normally regular 28 days sometimes 27 , very occasionally later say d30.
Late 40s. Have dc already. Would like another but never really 'gone for it's. Don't use contraception but not actively TTC either. Unlikely to be pregnant really due to age.
Use OPK regularly. Cheapo ones. Had a pos one d13 this month.
So now I'm on day 31.
Hav ent felt great this week but thought viral. Feel like period coming.
Anyway I was absentmindly scrolling through old threads saying OPK can detect preg.
Did one and it's dark positive!what do you think?just that period on its way?

I think you need to get yourself a proper pregnancy test so you know for sure.

I did one(cheapo) total neg. Wonder what the OPK was about ?

You also can get an lh surge just before your period is due

Ok resurrecting this as I still haven't had AF.
I'm still getting clear positive OPKs. They havent stopped. What s going on?I did 2 preg tests which were neg.
Af was due 8th Aug
