Reduced periods, reduced fertility?

Hi everyone.
This is my first post and my first cycle TTC. I am 31 and my husband and I have decided to try sooner rather than later (we had intended to wait another year) because my periods have changed a lot over the last 6 months, going from 5 or 6 days of medium/heavy flow to 2/3 days of light/medium.

I am worried that my shorter period could be linked to decline in fertility. Does anyone have any experience of this? GP was dismissive because we hadn't actually started trying and therefore, I suppose, have no evidence to suggest a problem.

It would be really helpful if anyone has any advice or similar experience. Thanks Smile

Your periods sound like mine. They are light to medium flow for 2/3 days.
I became pregnant first time trying aged 37. I had a MMC with that one but the Dr said it was nothing to do with my short periods. I'm pregnant again aged 38 after 3 months trying. So far everything is fine :)

Thanks for your reply and congratulations! It's reassuring to hear that. Did yours change from being longer/heavier too?
