Hi,

I stopped taking the microgynon pill on 25th May after being on it for 7 years and I had a withdrawal bleed on 30th May.

It's now been 67 days since and i've still had no AF..

Is this normal?? Really stressing me out!!

Still no AF 80 days later..

Should I be thinking about going to the doctors?

@Mrsccc hi! I came off similar time to you but I’ve been extremely lucky that my cycles seem to have gone back to normal (29-31days)

I did do ALOT of research before coming off as I was concerned about some stories I had heard about the length of time it takes for cycles to become regular again. From what I read i think it can take upto a year to once you come of it. However, if you are concerned I would give the GP or nurse a call and ask for a bit of advice- just for some reassurance more than anything.

Also just to state the obvious... there isn’t a chance you could be pregnant is there?

Hope you get sorted soon!

@May2311 I think I'll give them a call in the morning!

I've done tests and all been negative x

Hi, I was in the same boat as you back in Feb came off microgynon took 6 weeks for my first AF then 4 weeks til next one which i thought 'great!! Back in regular cycle' but then i had a massive 100 day cycle!!!! Which ended last week. In the mean time i called docs and had blood tests done which showed a 'slight hormone imbalance' which MAYBE signs of PCOS. My dr put that down to being on the pill 6 years. I tried inositol after my last cycle got to 80 days with nothing and I still credit that for bringing on my period!! I still take it now in the hopes of ovulating regularly to conceive, but it is definitely worth a try!!! Xx

Hi @ellie1878 thank you, i'll try that. I'm going to try and book a doctors appointment again tomorrow. Tried today and by the time i got through all the appointments had gone x
