Day 55 ovulating today?

Hi all

Yesterday I had a few twinges in my left side where my ovaries are and this morning there is a slight second line on my ovulation test (normally no second line regardless of when I do the test) Do you think I'll ovulate today or was it yesterday due to the twinges? I'm losing hope as i am on day 55 of my cycle

@PerfectPear I do y think so if there is a slight second line. My cycles have been long since coming off the pill in January and appear to have settled into 40 day cycles. I got my hopes up I'd ovulated at day 15 when I had two lines (thinking I missed the positive) and I get twinges on and off all month. But at day 28 there was a very clear positive. Seems the body gears up all month to ovulate then stops again. Has yours always been that long? My longest was 74 days. Keep going

My cycles have been all over the place since coming off the pill in March last year. I've had some ridiculously long periods where I've bled for 5 weeks none stop really heavy. This is the longest cycle I've ever had though

Have you been tested for PCOS? @PerfectPear

@Mycrazylife85 yes I have and apparently don't have it but do have endometriosis which could explain the heavy periods. I'll just have to keep testing but the not knowing is hard. No idea if these ovulation tests actually work or maybe I'm doing something wrong

That probably is it. Almost certainly. I would keep up doing them. Doing use first morning urine. I thought they weren't working at all for me, but they do, you'll know a positive straight away when you get it. Keep up with it and don't give up.
