I got my positive OPK yesterday so think ovulation is today CD 14 so bang on schedule.

I'm 29 and TTC first baby. On cycle 3 now and already stressed something might be wrong 😭

Any one else just starting their TWW?

Bless you! It's so hard not to be a bit crazy. The days/weeks drag!

I have more had a lack of symptoms! Even though I was sure af was on her way (sore boobs, moody as Merry hell etc) I realised I hadn't had the awful period pains. I get them exactly 7 days before she comes for 2 days. And they're awful. But none this month. I think what's why I tested.

Also my husband is more impatient than me and asked me to do another test.... I can't quite believe it. But I am calmer now.....

It’s so exciting isn’t it. I’m just so petrified after our mmc. So so anxious.

I’ve had a few mild cramps, and my boobs are very tender which I never get, they are fuller too. But otherwise that’s it.

Have you worked out your due date?

Alice8688 · 10/09/2019 21:00

That's an amazing line! 🥰🥰 congrats!

It would be round about 21-23rd May. What about you? X

Bumpingalong84 · 11/09/2019 16:24

Well by last AF 18th May, by my ovulation calculation the 21st. Tho my DD was nearly 4 weeks early, so I feel if this works out it might be a little earlier!

Were your DC on time?

I’ve had some very light pink spotting this afternoon, got me all nervous and anxious 😢 tho the digital threw 2-3 out so that was a shock!!

How you feeling today.

Oh @Alice8688 @Bumpingalong84 - sorry to jump in, but reading your latest posts has filled me with happiness HUGE congrats. How many dpo were you both when testing? I'm in my TWW around 8pdo but trying to hold out until AF due to test 😬

Alice8688 · 11/09/2019 17:27

That's amazing! It's so nice to see in writing isn't it?? How are you feeling? I've felt sick all damn day. But partly anxiety I think. X

Bumpingalong84 · 11/09/2019 17:35

@Alice8688 yeah completely nice, was still paranoid it was going to say not pregnant so was a bit shocked to see the 2-3 come up.

Feel ok, I was knackered last night and fell asleep watching the bake off and my boobs are fuller and sore but otherwise ok. Just this bloody spotting that’s got me all anxious now 😩

Ahh sickness, I had that with DD from 6-16weeks and it was horrid. Hope it’s not too bad, get some plain biscuits to keep to hand.

@Gigi318 I got my positive with a frer at 9dpo! Good luck, how you feeling?

Alice8688 · 11/09/2019 17:41

So sorry @Gigi318 !! I didn't see your comment I was 9/10dpo for frer pos and 10/11dpo for digi. (I have 2 apps and they are a day out with ov predictions!

@Bumpingalong84 I had HG with my 2 DC. It's savage! I know I'm likely to get it again but holding out hope for less sickness. The boobs though: I'm with you there! 😣xxx

Gigi318 · 11/09/2019 17:52

@Alice8688 @Bumpingalong84 So exciting ladies! Pleased for you both.

Well, this is why I'm wondering if I could be - as I've been feeling quite nauseous and never feel like this. Pinching/cramping Monday & Yesterday. Backache today. All very new and bizarre.

I don't want to test too early, just in case. I have CB early detection already here (before I knew what I was doing/joining the forum) so will use these before getting FR. So I'm thinking wait til next weekend. If I can!

Bumpingalong84 · 11/09/2019 20:06

Ahhh 😩 that’s awful @Alice8688 I had a friend who had that twice and it was just horrible watching her be so ill. Luckily I only had nausea with DD but it was crippling for a few weeks I couldn’t eat a thing. That constant hangover feeling too it’s vile. Really hope you don’t get it again as bad 🤞🏻 I still can’t believe I got 2-3 weeks!!

Have you told many people?

@Gigi318 hold out as long as you can, I’m terrible as soon as I hit 8dpo I want to start peeing on sticks and find it hard to stop 🙈

Gigi318 · 11/09/2019 20:21

@Bumpingalong84 are you having any symptoms yet? Thanks, I'm planning on waiting - if I had a FR here I may be tempted. But I really don't want to overcomplicate it at the moment. Plus I have a big weekend next weekend, and I don't think I can handle a BFP before that (bizarre I know) so I'd rather wait!

Bumpingalong84 · 11/09/2019 21:28

Haha fair enough @Gigi318 not many symptoms no. Just tender boobs. With my first little one I had no symptoms till 6 weeks! I have a big weekend this weekend! A family wedding and we’ve decided not to tell anyone due to a mmc at 12 weeks in May and that will be hard as they all know I like a glass of wine or 3 Blush

Gigi318 · 11/09/2019 21:49

@Bumpingalong84 ah fantastic - so strange how all bodies are different. Kind of a good thing with no symptoms so you can go about your days as normal 👌🏻 eek yes that may be hard. We have a few family events coming up which could be interesting if BFP. Would be so much easier if we never drank and were unsociable, hey 😂

Alice8688 · 12/09/2019 08:11

@Bumpingalong84 it is exactly like a hangover! At the minute I'm still constantly hungry but can't stomach anything. 😣
I've told my 2 best friends. Because they'd also know if anything went wrong. I haven't told my mum or any family yet! I've made a docs appt for next week. So that may make it more real!

Have you told anyone? How you feeling today? X

Bumpingalong84 · 12/09/2019 10:50

@Alice8688 ohh bless you. I woke up feeling hungry and a little icky so will see what the rest of the week holds. Still can’t believe I got my bfp.

I’ve told my best friend and also a good friend who also had a miscarriage in March. She’s now 14weeks so very supportive with all pregnancy anxiety post miscarriage. I just told my boss this morning too but plan to tell family as late as possible.

Alice8688 · 12/09/2019 11:40

@Bumpingalong84 oh bless you. And your friend 💕 one of my friends I told has been through a rollercoaster with her own fertility. But she'd be gutted if I didn't tell her because of that. And she was thrilled for me. She's also very supportive of my anxiety etc.

I'm the same re: family. I think it would just be a lot of (albeit well intended) pressure on me/us xxx

MotherOfShihTzus · 12/09/2019 12:20

Is it weird that I've just scrolled through this whole thread just to watch the bpfs develop?! So happy for you all :)

After 19 cycles I'm hoping I'll know what it feels like one day, but am starting to lose that hope. I shall live vicariously through others until then!

Bumpingalong84 · 12/09/2019 19:51

Ahh I’m sorry @MotherOfShihTzus that it’s been a long time trying. Have you started fertility investigations or anything? I hope you get your bfp very soon Flowers

Thanks @Alice8688 will feel more relaxed as every week goes by I guess! When does your week start? Mines a Monday I think! Have you joined they may thread yet?

Alice8688 · 13/09/2019 10:10

@MotherOfShihTzus that's a patient wait my darling. I do so hope you get your BFP too soon 💕 are you on your tww now? Xxx

@Bumpingalong84 I'm not sure! My cycles start between 24-26days. But my last cycle started on a Monday (according to what I put in my clue app. Although I swear blind I was bleeding and unbearable that Sunday 🤣) so to err on the side of "better to be a little behind" and go with Mondays. Despite being due on today 🙄 xx

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 11:02

Sooo, this happened today. And I'm freaking out because I was basically made redundant just after I conceived, by the looks of it. I don't know what to think, we were hoping so hard to fall pregnant and now I am just worried about money - does anyone have any experience of this?

Anyone just starting the TWW?
Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 11:42

@EmmaOvary congratulations! How fantastic for you. I'm sorry to hear that you've been made redundant. Hoping you've got a settlement coming. Either way, you'll make it work. There's never a right time to have a baby - as I've always been told. And now that I'm 30, I agree. Life very much feels the same as 25 so why I waited I don't know. It will all fall into place for you, I'm sure of it 💖 and if you're extra worried, getting super frugal can be really fun and you'll still be entitled to Mat Allowance so don't worry about that part! Hope that helps lovely!

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 11:47

@Gigi318 just googled mat allowance, I hadn't heard of that so thanks. Yes, I'm sure it will be fine, it's just hard not to panic! X

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 12:00

@EmmaOvary you're welcome, I'm self-employed so I have looked into it. It's what I would qualify for and I originally just assumed I'd not have any kind of help - but it's good to know you have that option should nothing arise 🤞🏻definitely. I quite often have wobbles as my income can be unreliable, but I'm just going to figure it all out as I go along 🙈

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 12:01

@Gigi318 are you expecting at the moment? I have often wondered how self employed women do it. It's reassuring to hear that it's manageable. Thank you x

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 12:09

@EmmaOvary that's debatable 🤣 I'm in my TWW, testing 23rd but having lots of symptoms. So we shall see. I think self-employment is as easy or hard as you make it, I love it and always motivated. If you've been thinking about doing it too, maybe now's the chance. You'll figure out what's right for you. Just try not to let the worries overcloud your fantastic news 🥂
