Hello all, just wanted to see if anyone had had a similar experience to me. I came off the pill in 2016 and was so lucky to get pregnant two weeks later and had a healthy baby girl in March 2017. October last year I started TTC again and yet again fell pregnant straight away. Sadly I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and ERPC operation.due to some complications of retained products I didn’t get my period back until March this year. I’ve since been TTC and had a chemical pregnancy in May a few cycles ago with was very upsetting. I now have long cycles averaging about 35 days and I have pain in my left ovary during ovulation and during my periods. I’ve had 5 cycles since the miscarriage which I know is not lots compared to many others trying to conceive: I’m 37.5 so feeling like time is starting to run out. Has anyone else had similar symptoms and gone on to get pregnant. Also after a miscarriage were anyone’s cycles long and then got back to normal (for me 28 days) thanks in advance. I do have an appointment with the doctor next week to ask her advice. I’m guessing I have an ovarian cyst or multiple cysts.

Always worth checking any pain in ovaries etc. You will need a scan to diagnose cysts, but these could affect your fertility. Your cycle will take a while to regulate after MC, so don't worry unduly about that. Secondary fertility issues are incredibly common, especially with the change in attitudes towards career then family. The main thing is to get any issues diagnosed and treated, then get on top of your cycle and ovulation to give yourself the best chance of conceiving naturally.

Thanks very much, yes I’m hoping the doctor will refer me for a scan and not make me wait longer

They should fast track you as there are obviously more serious reasons for ovary pain...

Fingers crossed all is well, pop to Ovulation Corner afterwards for hints and tips ;)
