Fluconazole worry

Anyone out there taken fluconazole for thrush before knowing they are pregnant? I can't stop worrying that I've caused my baby damage. I took two 150mg tablet before knowing I'd conceived, one at about a week and one at about 2 weeks after conception. Reading online it looks like only consistent, daily, high doses have been shown to cause a slight increase in the chance of birth defects but I just can't shake the worry!! It's putting a massive dampener on the whole experience (this is my first pregnancy) is there anyone out there who took it and everything was fine? Thanks!

Hi Brummie,
I’ve not been in this situation myself but Couldn’t read and run and have you sit and worry.

If you’d taken them before you knew you were pg - and you found out around the time of missed period then it’s unlikely to have harmed the development of your pregnancy as the placenta etc is not yet formed so you weren’t sharing a blood supply with baby.

And secondly, you cannot change the past so worrying won’t achieve anything. Try and forget about it if you can and enjoy your pregnancy.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Never thought about the fact that the placenta wouldn't have formed by that time... and you're so right, I can't change anything now just got to enjoy it. Thanks again for replying I really appreciate it. And good luck to you!
