TTC number 2 and with first it was easy and fell pregnant first month.
This time I've come off the pill and for about 4 months have been having long irregular cycles (anything from 35-60 days)

Does this mean it's likely I'm not ovulating? :( what can I do this month to try and make it happen? I've just stopped bleeding from what may have been a period but after 60 days maybe it wasn't. I'm not very clued in with all this stuff- I didn't even know til recently that it's possible I might not be ovulating at all. Would be so grateful for any advice or experiences of something similar

I've always had long cycles and always different lengths. When i was ttc I tracked my temperatures daily to work out when I was ovulating. Found out I ovulated at different times every month but always then had my period exactly ten days after I ovulated. I actually got pregnant first time having ovulated on day 35 of my cycle.

Hi @derryrose this might be a silly question but how did you do that? I bought cheap one step opks though don't know how reliable they are

It's called basal temperature tracking. I used an app to record my temp as soon as I woke up. There is a slight increase in your basal temp once you have ovulated so then you will know your window for conceiving is over. If you track for a few months it can give you an insight into your cycle. I found it quite fascinating lol. First baby I thought I didn't have a chance as we had sex 3 or 4 days before ovulating but obviously there was one super sperm hanging around in there lol.

Icky but very relevant are cervical mucus changes as these are tell you when you are ovulating. I won't go into too much detail here once you are queasy 😉😂 but read up on it. I got pregnant with my second baby first month trying as I recognised the cervical mucus change.
