At home insemination Vs in clinic insemination

Hi,

I'm 35 and my dw and I are considering trying for our first baby together. I already have a dc from a previous relationship- natural conception.

I would have just gone down the clinic route, but after a lot of research, it seems that at home insemination can be just as successful.

I hear there are things which you can do at home to help things a long, which you can't exactly do at the clinic, such as have an orgasm post insemination and also being aroused pre insemination, as your body sends a signal like it does when you're trying to conceive naturally. Is this bonkers? I have no idea how accurate what I'm reading actually is.

Also, did you prepare your body before you started TTC? I.e, supplements, cutting down/out alcohol etc...

Really appreciate all your advice and experience.

TIA

Hi OP!
I have done similar research to yourself.
We've not tried anything yet but I imagine insemination at home would be much more special than on a table by a speculum and a stranger!
Let us know how you get on x

LifeOfRiley, yes, much more special! I can't imagine, even if it was scientifically proven that those things could help, that the Dr would suggest you did these things inside the clinic Confused I mean, not very practical, to say the least!

When are you considering trying?
