Hi,

I was wondering if it's true that ovulation strip tests show a line if you are pregnant/producing hCG?

Thanks all

Hey, I found they produced similar readings when I fell pregnant, see picture attached xx

For some people yes but it's not a definite yes for everyone as it's checking for a different hormone.
FWIW I've had a positive ovulation test just days before af due and wasn't pregnant

Which one are you using, most only pick up LH, so no, you shouldn't see a line...

Ginmonkey84 · 05/08/2019 19:55

Mine did but they were blazing positive although took a while for them to pick it up

poptypingchef · 05/08/2019 19:59

Some people get a LH surge just before AF so it’s not a given

Hotpinkangel19 · 05/08/2019 20:04

Mine were, but very very positive.

Sweetpea12 · 05/08/2019 21:02

I had a positive OPK before AF came

EvelineUK · 06/08/2019 11:31

As poptypingchef said above, if you have a really short leutinial phase you could get a positive LH just before AF, but that would be worth mentioning to your doctor.
