Implantation or Period!? Going slightly mad!

Hi, wondering if anyone has any advice? I had a copper coil removed at the beginning of July, just after my last period finish. Long story short for the last 10 days (since ovulation) I have had very tender boobs and for the last few days have been very nauseous. Period was due yesterday and instead of it starting just some pink/brown on toilet paper last night and a tiny bit today. No cramps but feeling very sick. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests but all negative...any chance this could be implantation and I may still be pregnant or just an odd period as could was removed!? Any insights appreciated!

Very possibly implantation but wait a few more days for another test as it’s probably too early to tell.

By that time you’ll know if your period shows

Thanks! I know, it seems so simple doesn’t it but so hard not to overthink everything!

Totally in the same boat. I’m 42, G4P3A1. My second baby, I began what I thought was my normal period on time... full on for four hours, then it suddenly stopped. Tested next day, two positives. This cycle, I am 14 dpo, and started spotting pink this morning. Only shows when I wipe. I tested this morning and it was negative. Every woman is different, every pregnancy is different.... but I would say that if what you are seeing is not normal for your AF, then there is a possibility of pregnancy, and test again every other day (which is what I will be doing). I hope that helps ease your mind. Good luck to you!

Thanks! And you, let me know how you get on x

Will do! I may not be able to hold out until Tuesday to test. May just do one in the morning.... I will update here. I’m 99% sure I’m pregnant though, same symptoms as you. Crappy off and on for two weeks, nausea, can’t sleep well, mild constipation.... plus the pink spotting is a major clue for me. Normally my period is hard and fast from the get-go and deep red.

Jnbl55410 · 04/08/2019 22:47

I meant crampy, not crappy 🤣

Just an update on me this morning, 15dpo, and yesterday barely spotted pink all day. Slightly redder this morning, but no clots, and CONSIDERABLY lighter than any period. I actually forgot to test this morning, and I want to use FMU, so I will be testing tomorrow morning at 16dpo.

Beatrice900 · 05/08/2019 14:36

Sounds promising for you! I’m still the same, barely even spotting and very brown but did a test this morning and negative so think I’m definitely out ☹️

I'm in a similar situation to you, TTC number 2, took my last pill on 1st July. Last Tuesday I started spotting, had 2 days of light bleeding and that's it. Also feeling very tired, had bleeding gums and sore boobs. Took a test yesterday and today BFN so must be first period!

Jnbl55410 · 05/08/2019 15:23

You aren’t out! So, let’s think about this.... 12 days to implant, but your initial HCG is 2 on DPO 12 (Friday)... so on Saturday it’s 4, Monday 8, Tuesday 16, and Wednesday 32... and it could take anywhere from 1.5-3 days to double, which is why some women don’t get a positive test until DPO 20-21. I would still test until Saturday to be sure... hope!!!!

Jnbl55410 · 05/08/2019 15:26

KateF1107, same... as long as it isn’t cloys and period flow, it can be implantation bleeding.

Thanks ladies. I just can’t see it being pregnancy this time. This would be my fourth pregnancy (I have 2 children and had one miscarriage) and I’ve always tested positive before I missed period, never negative this late. I’m guessing it’s because the coil came out and so period will be a bit odd this time. Would love to hear how you all get on though x

Same here, with my daughter I had an implantation bleed which I mistook for a period, I tested a few days after it stopped and got a positive. So thought it would have been positive by now. But all pregnancies are different. I will test again Saturday I think just to be sure!

Beatrice900 · 05/08/2019 16:34

Good luck!

Just an update... this morning bleeding was red and heavier than yesterday, but appears now to have tapered off some. I was a little more worried today than yesterday, but still testing in the morning. Please wish me luck... and luck also for you ladies.

bebeboeuf · 05/08/2019 21:04

Good luck Glitterball

How did you get on? I'm feeling exhausted, my boobs ache and a bit nauseous. I feel like I'm pregnant but could all be in my head!

Jnbl55410 · 06/08/2019 13:29

Well, lots of tears. I was so sure that I was pregnant... but I am bleeding very heavy now, so My period was just wonky this month?? I didn’t bother testing. There’s no way now. I wish you both better luck!

Beatrice900 · 06/08/2019 17:28

Really sorry to hear that. Mine started this afternoon too. Whilst I’m completely gutted that I’m not pregnant at least the wait and the uncertainty is over. Maybe let me know hoe you get on next month?
