Waiting to ttc after a miscarriage

Hi,

Last week I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks, baby had stopped developing at 7 weeks. Absolutely heartbroken. This was my first pregnancy and I feel so ready to start my family.

Went for surgical management yesterday, now starting the wait for my body to get back to it's normal rhythm so we can think about trying again. All the whilst feeling guilty that trying again means "forgetting" this baby who I so dearly wanted and loved.

Anybody else in a similar situation?

I'm sorry for your loss, I had a miscarriage over Easter. I don't think you need to feel guilty, miscarriages are very common, there is more than likely nothing you could have done to prevent it. Be kind to yourself.

I'm sorry for your loss Thanks. I had a MMC mid July, similar dates and timings to yours. Have gone straight back into TTC as age and PCOS are not on my side.

FWIW I have had several miscarriages and I haven't forgotten the babies I never had despite having healthy DC along the way. You have nothing to feel guilty about and trying again is in no way disrespectful to the memory of the one you've lost.

I hope your cycle is back soon and good luck TTC xxx
