Peak fertility and ovulation pain

Does anyone know how many hours after LH surge you are likely to ovulate? Had peak fertility on CB this morning (only on high ie no LH surge yesterday.)

Also have had horrible crampy ovulation pains since about lunchtime.

Have come home from eve out and DH is fast asleep so no DTD. Am wondering if tomorrow will be too late?

I can get ovulation pain anywhere from 12-36 hours after peak ovulation - I've never been able to work out though If the pain is the release of the egg or just the swelling of the follicle to its biggest size
