I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this,
Been trying for a baby for 5 months roughly
I'm due on period in 4 days roughly, took a test today I thought I saw the slightest blue line but sometimes I don't think I did was sooooo faint.
Felt tied and sometimes a little nausea. So went upstairs took a ovulation strip and came with 2 lines, I don't understand can ovulation strips come with a positive pregnancy or surely I'm not ovulating 4 days before my period is due! Anyone helllppp!!!!!

I've heard of ovulation tests being positive when pregnant but I don't think you can take that as a positive test. Order a FRER - Amazon prime is your friend!

Ovulation tests sometimes show positive whe your period is due as well as when you're actually pregnant due to the surge in hormones.

wait a few more days and POAS.

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 08:22

If you post a picture on here then there are lots of people with very good “line eyes” that can you let you know if they see a line too.

Loopytiles · 02/08/2019 10:02

What kind of test are you using?

BaweB · 02/08/2019 10:18

I got a positive ovulation test the month I wasn't pregnant (about 4 days before AF) and also the month I was pregnant. I don't think they're reliable.

Just wait. It’ll soon become obvious.

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 13:48

It's really hard to see the faint line

I can't see any lines, I'm afraid, OP. But it's early days! Wait a few then try again.

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 14:08

It's really difficult on photos I've just took s digital one and says not pregnant

OP posts:
Loopytiles · 02/08/2019 14:16

Clear blue is not at all sensitive.

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 14:19

I've spent 50 pounds this month on test how awful... are they not which ones are the best

OP posts:
lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 14:20

Can you not see a tiny line on the last photo

First response are best. Blue dye tests are overly crap IME so even cheap tests that are pink dye would suffice!

Neilsfavouritechilli · 02/08/2019 14:23

Sorry but I'd take those as negative although it might be too soon yet so maybe try testing once you've missed your period.

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 14:24

Oh really I always avoided them because I thought clear blue were suppose to be the best

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 14:24

Can anyone see anything or just me, I'll wait 3 days as due then but I just thought I saw it must be going mad

OP posts:
KTD27 · 02/08/2019 14:28

Try to be calm. If you are pregnant then that’s brilliant but hanging on a few days until you can get a first response or other pink dye tests won’t make it any less so. Perhaps until you’re sure, act as if you are stay off the booze etc. First pee of a morning is a good one to use. Good luck.

Loopytiles · 02/08/2019 14:35

I well remember the psychological strain of fertility matters. I don’t think such high expense and rollercoaster of such early testing is a good idea for mental wellbeing.

Better to try to find ways to get through the “two week wait” without POAS until your period is a couple of days late (assuming a regular cycle).

If you really can’t leave it, and want to test, would use “internet cheapie” pregnancy tests - the sensitivity will be stated in the adverts, info on fertility threads and forums.

Loopytiles · 02/08/2019 14:36

Of the chemist tests, first response used to be most sensitive, that may have changed, has been some years since I last POAS!

tenmum · 02/08/2019 14:44

First response !

lilyj13 · 02/08/2019 16:56

Right this is a pink one it comes up a little more
