Overwhelmed by tips and tricks

We are still TTC for about 11 months after a MMC last year. I feel like every month I am adding another 'trick' that people swear by that they fell pregnant straight away with: preseed, pillow under bum after sex, sperm meets egg plan, and now trying using a moon cup after sex! I am trying to stay relaxed and positive- we had full testing done by the doctor, and everything seems normal, including H's levels. In our NHS trust, we still have to wait another year to be eligible for IVF, but we are thinking about going private in the autumn if nothing happens. I'm 35, and want several children, and it is just so frustrating every month.

How do you stay positive? Especially when all these tips and tricks say 'it worked the first month I tried it!'.

@EllieGeeLondon -i'm so sorry to hear about your MMC. I'm in cycle 8 TTC our first and I'm finding it such a hard process. I get overwhelmed too by all these tips and tricks and every month when AF shows up its tempting to try one next cycle. I think it's easy to lose all sense of perspective on this journey. I think conceiving is all down to luck and I doubt these tips people swear by actually work because who knows if they would have got pregnant anyway? I am focussing on being as healthy and relaxed as possible and frequent sex. I am going to do acupuncture soon though as I think that might help destress me. Good luck. You're not alone xx

It is really overwhelming! It stresses me out all the things I “should” be doing but like @Rosieposy89 says how’d you know they wouldn’t be pregnant anyway? It’s frustrating to read. I’m going to try to take a more relaxed approach next cycle, eat healthy, take some vitamins, have sex more frequently. I don’t think my partner will get behind the SMEP, he’ll be washing his hair or have a headache most nights 🙄
