I'm new to all of this and very confused!

I finished my period on 26/07/19. Me and my husband DTD on 28th July. And will continue to give us the best chances.

I have had twinging like prickly odd pains (could be me over thinking it). I know its way too soon to know and I doubt I conceived first time trying but when do I test? Is it two weeks after we DTD or if my period is a day late or if my period is 2 weeks late?

Sorry if i sound dim but when i try to research this it's like there's a million different terms and im trying to get my head around it all!

Wait till you miss your period

@BeautifulBlaze okay, that makes sense it's just hard as my periods are hard to predict!

Might try to just put it to the back of my head and see what happens!

Basically, you can only get pregnant on a few days a month, they are the 5ish days before you ovulate and the day of. You are most likely to get pregnant the closer to ovulation you dtd.

Ovulation is normally about 2 weeks after your period depending on your cycle, and there are tests you can do to help pin point it (look into ovulation predictor kits, you pee on a stick like a preg test and it tells you how strong the hormones your body produces just before ovulation are).

Theres then another two week wait until your period is due. You can do a test a few days before your period is due but its most likely to be accurate after it was due if it never arrives.

If youve only just finished your period i'd say theres very little chance you could be pregnant, and even if you were symptoms don't usually start until 2/3 weeks at the absolute earliest, normally not until 6 or more.

I think you should research Ovulation and getting pregnant. It'll give you the best chance. There's. Good App called Flo that will also educate you. Good luck.

As said above best bet to improve your chances are OPK's and/ or temping, as your fertile window will move every month.
