@secretllama @KCM99 @Coastaldreamer I know 😂😂 had a lot of CM past couple days way more than usual, had a slight stomach cramp the other day but nothing since and no other symptoms so I think our pulling out might have worked 😅

I'm testing on the 8th @Coastaldreamer it's OHs Birthday as well!! I'm 7dpo today

If so I'll be ovulating again about 29th August

Chaosonthehorizon · 02/08/2019 10:51

Aargh I am driving myself mad! I know I am so lucky that I already have children but.....Really cursing myself for not checking my period tracker that was running when we got PG with the last one, way more DTD then that we have this month 😓 but aware of clocks ticking. When is the absolute earliest to test? Then if BFN then I can deal with it rather than waiting

secretllama · 02/08/2019 11:04

I'm a little behind you guys only 1dpo so no chance of symptoms yet ...I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot this month as last month I had convinced myself I was pregnant due to 9 days of dull mild cramping before AF which I've never had before Hmm

@KCM99 your symptoms sound promising though!

Fingers crossed for you all ! Smile

Coastaldreamer · 02/08/2019 11:08

@flossy12 good luck on the testing! Not long to wait although the TWW always seems like an actual year....! Last month was so crap as AF came at work so I was so upset and crying in the work kitchen with my friend who luckily was there for me...

flossy12 · 02/08/2019 11:17

@Coastaldreamer aww bless you! I stayed at work with my previous AF just before the end of shift 🙃 had done a frer the day before though so was expecting it tbh, still it's so awful when it arrives

What DPO are you??

Coastaldreamer · 02/08/2019 11:33

@flossy12 yeah I feel nothing can prepare you for when it actually happens, and you know you will be ok but just need to feel upset at that moment and deal with it

I think I'm 7 DPO... irregular cycles so going off how my body felt, cm etc

flossy12 · 02/08/2019 12:01

@Coastaldreamer oh the same as me then ☺️☺️ I know I was really upset after our BFN last time, OH didn't even ask how I was so I felt shit for a fair few days

When mentioned it his reply was 'well yeah I'm sad but it will happen eventually' 🤷🏼‍♀️

Coastaldreamer · 02/08/2019 14:37

@flossy12 :( I think they just don't emotionally invest as much as us. Not even realising it as well

I've told DH on my previous cycles just let me be upset and be there for me rather than say "it will happen". Esp on CD1 as I'm not ready to hear anything then lol. Basically let me feel shite and sit on the sofa and cry 😬

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 14:56

@Chaosonthehorizon the earliest I've got a positive test is 8dpo. Yet if you don't implant til after that, you could be looking at 12dpo or later.

@secretllama congratulations on entering the tww. I've known I've been pg from 1dpo before so let the symptom spotting begin!

I've been pg 3 times since April. Sadly all early losses. So I hope I'm getting to be an expert now at symptom spotting.

@Coastaldreamer yeah mine isn't, he hasn't seemed that bothered since we started even though I know he is, and once it happens he will be ecstatic, it's more because I think obviously they just do their deed and that's it until the BFP for them they don't realise what we have to go through x

Chaosonthehorizon · 02/08/2019 19:07

KCM99 thanks hoping I can hold out but figure then if it BFN then I will just be expecting AF. Don’t want a huge gap or a summer baby so can’t try for long, just thinking I have ruined this month but missing the first couple of days and then doing SMEP on the alternate days to the ones they suggest 😓

Sairie · 02/08/2019 21:20

Mind if I join? Due AF 12 Aug(ish). Think my hormones are off this month as my temps are all over the place so I’m going by when I think I actually ovulated which is a couple of days later than our last BD. We were too tired with it and work and busy lives! Last month gave me a lovely chart in complete contrast to what I’ve got so far!
Hoping for a BFP but have a feeling that this isn’t going to be my month.
Fingers crossed for us all!

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 22:39

@Sairie can you post your chart? I'm 5dpo today.
Was feeling so pg this morning but now totally convinced I'm not. I always get like this back and forth. I don't know what I'm expecting lol as any fertilised egg hasn't even implanted yet! 😂

KCM99 · 02/08/2019 22:43

@Chaosonthehorizon my two are summer babies. I'm going for a third. Why don't you want a summer baby? I must say when I first fell pg this year and EDD was after Christmas - it was different but exciting. But then when I was EDD in Feb - it didn't feel right. Now we're coming up to babies born closer to May, I'm feeling more positive about a sticky bun in the oven!

Super hectic chart! I temp orally and sleep terribly too, but considering how last month I was still me with the same temping and bad sleep, who knows. Maybe it’s annovulatory, in which case I’ll see how things shake out for a couple more months then go to the gynae, but hoping it will climb and stay up.

TWW: AF due 11 August
Sairie · 03/08/2019 01:19

Also, on the summer baby thing, while a baby anytime will be amazing, because of the school year, a baby born in autumn-winter would be my preference. But I have endo and chances are this could be a long road so we decided to crack on now.I’ll be thrilled if I get that sticky BFP in the next couple of months. Not sure on your reason @Chaosonthehorizon.
And on OH not understanding, I also got a ‘it’ll happen when it happens, just try to relax’ from my husband when I was feeling rubbish that AF showed up. It’s killer because you read so many quick successes and also are just super excited to get a solid line that will stick Sad. He’s not being heartless, he just doesn’t understand my excitement to carry and have our child (and ASAP!)

escocesita · 03/08/2019 04:53

I'll jump in too! I'm 33 and TTC #1. On cycle 3 and surprised how focused I've become on TTC! I think I thought it would happen immediately, although my rational brain knows it can take a while and three months is not long.

I'm a real planner so the idea that there is so much chance involved causes me stress! I feel like now we've made the (big) decision to have a baby, I'd like it to happen straight away.

I'm tracking with the Glo app and tried Clear blue OPKs for the first time this month, which I found really interesting. I think I'm a person who likes more information rather than less.

I'm due my period on 13 August and am trying not to test before.

Chaosonthehorizon · 03/08/2019 07:56

Only just too many teachers in my life and other mums panicking with August boys being so young for the year! Also was rather relieved that I wasn’t worrying over a new born in that very hot weather! Also no family help so probably the first post CS weeks would be easier in termtime.

KCM99 · 03/08/2019 15:23

@Chaosonthehorizon I see! I have 2 boys. One is the youngest in his class the other is the oldest. It does help being the oldest.

@Sairie your chart is so jaggety this cycle. It looks like you did ovulate though. Have you tried charting using fertility friend? It will give you crosshairs to confirm ovulation. It's one of my favourite fertility apps.

OP posts:
Sairie · 03/08/2019 16:17

@KCM99 I use Glow and that did give me a crosshair last month when it was super obvious. I think it’s confused as I am this time round! We shall see what happens but I’m not holding out too much hope as if my progesterone isn’t right then implantation won’t be successful even if we have managed to catch the egg! I think I’ll try to hold off testing until AF unless I get a lot of symptoms. (I’ll probably be poas at 10dpo! Wink)

KCM99 · 03/08/2019 17:07

Good luck @Sairie

Big respect to the waiters to test. I've started my usual early testing. As soon as I see a faint line, I start taking my progesterone (not that it's helped in my last mmc).

Feel like AF might be on her merry way this next week, been soooo hungry the past 3 days it's mental, Also increase in CM last few days, no other signs

Chaosonthehorizon · 03/08/2019 20:51

I have two autumnal babies and have really noticed the difference at nursery between the almost 5’s and the just or not even yet 4’s. All going to reception together.

Chaosonthehorizon · 03/08/2019 20:53

Being pessimistic though would a may baby be that disadvantaged compared to say an August 31st (if you believe the stuff online about all this)? Any teachers or parents of May children?

Chaosonthehorizon · 03/08/2019 20:54

And clearly if I hadn’t been so lucky with my other two I wouldn’t care when a baby turned up just as long as it did. I just feel I may have a choice about when (which is stupid as obviously I don’t really).
