August testers who’s with me?

Hi lovely ladies
I’m on cd10 with regular 28 day cycles.
Sadly last month I had a chemical pregnancy and my period came bang on the day it was meant to, so I’m planning on trying to not test early this month although knowing me I might....
I believe I’m supposed to ovulate on August 3rd (the day before my birthday!) so I’m expecting a positive test probably August 2nd? I’m looking for some ladies in the same boat this month so we can all support each other x thanks

A bit about me:

Cycle 2 of TTC
Age: 38 years 4 months
Cycle length: 28 days (except last month when it was 35 days - possible chemical pregnancy)
DPO: 8dpo today (ovulated on Sunday 21st)

I've been having acupuncture for the past 3 weeks, for general relaxation and fertility. I know it would be lucky to conceive on my second month of trying, but I'm still hopeful!

I'm cycle day 11. OV should be Thursday/Friday.
This is our 2nd proper month of TTC.
I haven't been using OPKs at all this time around. Just seeing how things go. My youngest is 15 months so just seeing how things go.

I am currently on my 2ww in cycle 1 of trying to conceive baby number 2. My little girl is almost 2. With her it happened first month and I am well aware this time it most probably won't and need to keep myself calm and not get obsessed. Therefore this month we just dtd 2x during my fertile days...i have ovia app and also I got ewcm so took that has confirmation of ovulation. I do not want it to become a chore or not enjoyable so choosing at the moment to not use ovulation tests/temp etc etc.
We were just using condoms prior to this and I havent been on hormone contraceptives for over 10years. According to my app AF due round 9th August...i feel no symptoms at all so not hopeful. Last time I felt something was different...i was boiling hot all the time (it was jan!) and my wee smelt different.
Not sure when to start testing? Last time I was abit obsessed with line progression and spent a fortune on preggo tests eeeek!

I will probably be testing around the 10th but a bit iffy because I do'n't know what to expect from this cycle.

I had a mmc that was discovered at my 12 week scan on 7th July. Total shock and aparently it was just a sac still. I had an ERPC on 9th so I am taking that as CD 1. It was all very sad but having wasted 3 months thinking I was pregnant I don't want to waste any more time! I think I ovulated Today looking at my temps but I haven't had an LH surge yet. Its CD21 for me which is my normal O date.

I am on CD 24 currently 8DPO with af due on Monday.

Did a test last night just for fun but obvs got a BFN.

I have had some symptoms but I know they are all in my head! 😂

So sorry @SMiles14 - the exact same thing happened to me and it's just devastating. 😢How are you doing?

@dearn Oh gosh I'm so sorry, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Im doing better than I thought I would, being back at work is helping tho I'm struggling to really care about it. It was just such a huge huge shock and I felt like an idiot for going into that scan room feeling nothing but excitement.
I am feeling positive though and I know the odds are good following a mc. I just don't want to waste any time and also scared of how I will feel if/when af shows her face.... I just want the time to pass and to be 3 months pg again, the first trimester was hard for me!
When was your mmc? How are you doing?

Me. I think i ovulate on August 6th trying for first baby. i do have a stash of OPKs that i ordered online but trying to avoid using them at the minute as want to just see how it goes but think if it doesn't happen this month i will start using them in September

Hi am trying for my first baby I had period on 8 July usually have a 28 day cycle I having bad cramps from Saturday don't know if it pms starting are ovulation had sex on Saturday 27 and 29 don't think it ever going to happen

so sorry @dearn and @SMiles14 for your losses :( it must be so difficult trying again when it is all so fresh.

Positive thoughts for us all hope this is our month

Thanks @mrsrob90 and @SMiles14 - mine was a few years ago but I remember clear as day coming out of the scan room empty handed whilst everyone had their pics. I was so sad. That's good you are back to work - it's a good distraction and routine but remember to be kind to yourself 😘

Can I join? I'm TTC no.2 and am on cycle 4. Originally I was due AF on 25th July but I ovulated really late this month so AF has been put back to 1st Aug. Planning on testing then if AF doesn't arrive tomorrow!

It’s such a scary and exciting time ttc!
I’ve been using opks, this is my 3rd cycle ttc and I have 2 children already with my husband (4 and 2 years old, both boys!) so I’m the only woman in a house of 3 men lol I’d love to add a girl into the mix but i would be so happy with either! X
I’ve had some cramping today so I’m wondering if that’s my body gearing up for ovulation in 4 days (estimated).
My last period started on July 21st so I believe I’m cycle day 10 today. X

I am a day behind you @Mumaof1 then as i am CD 11 but my cycle is 32 days so ovulation should be a week today. Scary and exciting are definitely the right words , I think it is just when you are TTC you want it so much and it is one of the only things in the world where you have no real 100% control over when it happens. Fingers crossed August is the month for all of us

Last period was 20.7.19..... but I was expecting it on 11.7.19.... it was a late weird period because I came off the pill. Anyway. My obstetrician asked me to have an August period before TTC... I will try after that period. So I have no idea if my period will be in the normal 27-29 day cycle range or weirdly late

Just Amazon buying some cheapy preggo tests and a few frer. Forgot how expensive the first response are 😂 last time I must have spent £40+ on tests!!! still have kept the positive ones...anyone else do this from previous pregnancies 🙈🙈

Haha I know what you mean! I haven't kept the actual tests but I took pictures of all of them and my OPKs from the month I conceived and have them saved in their own little album on my phone 🙈

Tested this morning and got my BFP! So excited!!! A bit shocked too!

@mumof1hants aaahhhh exciting congratulations!!! when was AF due?

Nothing much here sore and weirdly itchy boobs but still a while to go before I test

@mrsrob90 Thank you! Originally due the 25th July but I had a late positive OPK so it was moved to today! Was a really strong positive though so I think I maybe did ovulate earlier & just missed the surge. No symptoms except tingly boobs... I felt completely different with my first!

I think I'm supposed to be ovulating today/tomorrow. Not using OPKs so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
Just got to persuade DH to dtd tonight/tomorrow/both! 😆
