Hi,

Had a scan on Friday, to check my womb structure as my consultant wanted to rule out some lining issues. Lining was fine, which was a relief. Sonographer then told me that I had 12 cysts on my left ovary and an enlarged right ovary -scan was on day 24 of 31 day cycle. She mentioned PCO, and suggested I talked to my doctor about metformin, as I had used clomid and letrozole and neither resulted in any pregnancies.

I have regular periods, she said it looked like I ovulated this cycle as I had fluid in recto uterine pouch. My BMI is 20, I am 28 years old... I had one pregnancy in October was sadly wasn’t meant to be after 3.5 years of trying. (Have endometriosis too and high ANA too..)

I’m at a bit of a loss really, do cysts always mean PCO/PCOS? Anyone else had similar findings and what happened next? I just want to be armed with some information or advice really, as I seem to be trying to fight a losing battle at the moment.
