End of August bus

Hey guys decided to make an end of August bus as there is already an August bus and by the time we get to the middle of aug we will need a new one anyway and it will keep us all around the same time in our cycles.

@mumofbun the struggle is real. He told me this morning he’s much more tired than normal because of all the sex! But he seemed genuinely interested this cycle, asking if I was a fertile myrtle and how long for.

I don’t know if I can manage again today though! We will see.

@Olivebranch26 I think I can see something too but so light might be a smudge 🤷‍♀️. I agree with the others that you should wait a few more days. If you've got a BFP it will be darker in 48 hrs when HCG doubles. Would be wonderful to start seeing BFPs on this thread 😊

@Sophieb15 you have all the days & covered 5 days in a row is a lot lol. But if it gives you better chances then go all in but I read you only have 3 days - 2 days before and day of Ov are high change after that it's just luck.

I'm feeling good about August, I've been speaking positively about this month and telling the universe this is my month for a BFP followed by a healthy baby in May 2020. Speak it into existence lol

@AmIseeingRight that's interesting cos all my apps show the following couple of days after o as fertile too and it says you are when I read online I bloody hope you see cos that's what I'm banking on this month ! D

@mrssunshinexxx You are still in your fertile window the two days after just the percentage chance of conception is lower - the egg can survive up to 48 hours.

@Lauralozzle that's good he's showing some more interest - how long have you been trying?

@Sophieb15 yep i'm 1 dpo too! you've been doing so well doing everyday i definitely couldn't manage it! i think you should just keep going with your plan if you can - so you know you've done everything you wanted to do?

I just got a flurry of excitement! I can't wait for the day I get my BFP! It's just going to be amazing. I think ttc is so hard and consuming it's so easy to forget how amazing it's going to be when it does happen! ❤️ Hope everyone is doing well! X

Thanks everyone, I'm only 9dpo so going to wait now to take another test. The test I posted was one of 3 strips and all had vv faint lines at 25miu ( I think ) fingers crossed it my time and same for all you ladies this month 😊 x

Hey all, been lurking past few days, kept writing replies then forgetting to send them 🤦...

CD20 here, no idea what is going on with my cycle this month. I usually ov on day 18/19 (though do occasionally have longer cycles) so from day 17 was DTD every day, thinking I would ov soon enough. Haven't had a positive opk (though looked close), then had a temp rise this morning, but then FMU gave what looks like a positive opk! The pic shows day 18 (top 3) 19 (middle 3) and todays (bottom two)... it does look like todays are darker/positive...

So when did I ovulate? Today? Tomorrow? Should me and DH DTD today as well as tomorrow to be on the safe side? I'm a bit knackered from already doing it 3 days in a row, not sure I can manage it 😂 DH is being a real trooper but I can see he's also struggling a bit 🙈

@november90 it's awful how it can take over isn't it? I realised this morning that i don't think i haven't thought about it for a day since the start of the year!!

@Sophieb15 if you've already logged dtd you have to

@NamiSwan that bottom one does look the most like a positive so probably tomorrow is OD? I don't think you're meant to use FMU with those tests though as can give false positives - was that one later in the morning?

Thanks @mumofbun, the bottom one was just before I posted (about 10.45 I think). I didn't know that about FMU 🙈 ok so ovulating tomorrow... and need to get on it DTD tonight then as well! DH will be happy! I'm just tired 😅

@NamiSwan no problem! Have a look at the instructions but they look the same as the ones i use which say not to use FMU. Confusingly some of the more expensive ones say to exclusively use FMU...

It is tiring but will be worth it

@NamiSwan I would say the last one is positive so I would put O day as tomorrow so yes get BD tonight and tomorrow most important days

@mumofbun haha I know I just need to get it done last night!! Then if it happens for the rest of the month its just for fun. My poor OH is being so good this month normally I will get off him that hes too tired I have made it interesting though so that helped an awful lot.

@november90 loving the positivity It will happen for all of us It will just take different amounts of time for each person.

@sophieb15 no this will b ttc #3 I got son and daughter already then misscarried/ectopic in January so still tryin, but like u say this month AF was only 2 days??? And ovulation stick got a line (albeit it faint) but 2 days after AF I didn’t expect any line at all until at least end of wk??? Ovulation day is 20th??? And if my miscarriage had been a proper pregnancy my due date would of been 21/8/19 so I’m hopin this month is bitter sweet and can conceive then 🤞🤞🤞🤞 xx

It's only 13th Aug and we are already on 639 messages. There will def be an End of Aug bus 2.

@Sophieb15 I'm roughly same as you but I go on holiday on 23rd with my AF coming on around the 26th didn't know wether to do a FRER test on the 22nd or will it be too early

@Lucylou22039 Are you going abroad? I would wait if you can and just do a test away if AF doesn't arrive on the 26th a BFN is worse than AF arriving because its like a double kick in the teeth at least if AF doesn't arrive on the 26th you have a good chance of getting a BFP on the 27th

@Sophieb15 I'm not off abroad but we are off with the in laws and it's more I think they will notice if I don't drink. We don't want to tell them yet that we are TTC it's kind of our (and you lot here on Mumsnet) little secret. Might take a test with me and test on the 27th I'd AF hasn't turned up

Although period this month was only 2 day and lighter than norm?? Done pregnancy test and ovulation test and got a faint line on ovulation test 2 day after period??? Didn't expect anythin until at least end of wk???

@Lucylou22039 you can still have a drink just don't go mad!! I've been told it doesn't affect the baby in the 2WW. Or else just tell them you are on antibiotics and can't drink! You are better to wait until AF is due to test. I'm def not going to test until I'm late!!!

Were you on any contraception beforehand that might've caused a strange period? i'm guessing not as you had the ectopic...might just be an odd one but i would keep doing the opks as planned as you didn't get a positive on the pregnancy test? I get a faint line on nearly every opk i do but have never done one as early as that in my cycle!
