Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone in a similar position to me. TTC 16 months, went to the docs at 12 months, have PCOS and a recent HSG which showed my right tube was fully blocked. Had it flushed out and this is my first month with open tubes! Now 9dpo and getting cramps and pain in my left ovary. Did a FRER today and thought I saw a shadow. Could be wishful thinking. Anyone else had this? So deflated with it all. Would love to hear from someone who's had HSG and got pregnant not long after, or anyone in the 2ww like me xxx

Hey, I have PCOS also been TTC #1 for 2 and a half years I'm 11DPO at the minute, when are you thinking of testing? Are your cycles quite regular with PCOS? Mine are always spot on which doctors seem to think is very odd as I guess they're normally all over the place for people that have it!

Hey,
I have PCO... possible PCOS just waiting for my next cycle to have 1-5 day blood tests to figure it out.

I have really irregular cycles currently on CD53.
I temp to try and see if I ovulate but my charts show I've not ovulated since January so having a really hard time.

Hi, thanks for replying ladies. Wow beckyttc that's a lot longer than me. So sorry it hasn't happened for you yet. Have they found anything other than the PCOS? I tested yesterday with a FRER and nothing. Thought I saw a shadow and took a pic but I think it was an evap line. My cycles are really irregular, my shortest was 26 and longest was 49. Essjayycee the docs told me not to try temping because I'm all over the place with my cycles so it wouldn't work? Do you think I should give it a try? xxx

Also @essjayycee it's probably harder for you to deal with knowing you haven't been ovulating. Sorry to hear that. Are you at the first stages of the fertility process? xxx

I started temping this month and too be honest it is all over the place, I have just had day 21 bloods done and my progesterone is low which I think can be common in people with PCOS as we dont always ovulate so I'm hopefully being referred to a fertility clinic I just have to go in for an appointment with one of the docs next Friday, you could still be too early to show on a test if you're 10dpo, fingers crossed for you!

I have pcos and it took 4 years ttc to finally conceive dc1.
I did temp and use OPKs, I found the glow app really useful for tracking. With PCOS you don't always ovulate but can usually see if I have when tracking. Not as exact as someone with regular cycles and no underlying issues but better than nothing. Have you tried OPKs?

There are options to help with the hormone imbalance, i pushed for metformin before going down any more invasive fertility routes and it worked for me (twice now). However a friend who also has PCOS tried it and was so sick she couldn't carry on and is now about to start a cycle with clomid.

@MrsEvangeline My bbt is completely all over the place and in all honesty it stresses me out and upsets me. But when I do ovulate I can tell but I've not ovulated since January so a bit disheartening to see that.

It's entirely up to you if you want to try it. But I find myself obsessing over it slightly sometimes so maybe not the best idea if you think you could too?

I have a feeling I might have some kind of hormonal imbalance so hoping they can give me something to balance it in some way.
