Asda Pregnancy Test

My period is due on 31st July. I took an Asda test this morning and there was the faintest of faint lines. I've never done a test where I could actually see where the positive line should be before. But I'm so scared of getting my hopes up only to be disapointed again. I haven't bothered showing it my partner at this stage, as I know he will say I'm imagining things or it's wishful thinking because I want to be pregnant so badly.

I guess the reason I'm posting is because I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else? and it later turned out to be negative or is this 'ghost' line common on ASDA tests (although i'm sure I've never seen it before.) even when I looked at a test after the allotted time.

Maybe I should add I took a First response on 24th July and it was completely negative. (these are the only two tests I've taken so far.)

Have you got a picture?

If it was an asda freedom test, I'd be wary. If it's one of the 2 for £3.50 I'd be more optimistic, I got my first bfp on that.

When you tested with the frer it was probably too early. Any test at this stage is going to be very faint though. Good luck

Thanks for your reply Venus. It was one of the £3.50 Asda ones. Sadly I didn't get a photo because I dismantled it trying to get a closer look at the test stripe. I kind of knew it was too early for the First Response when I took it. But I'm just so impatient. 😳

Oh I'd be cautiously optimistic with that @LadyEv 🤞 let me know when you test again 😊

I did another First Response this morning and I think it's definitely a positive this time.

@LadyEv My local didn't have any FR so just got an Asda cheapie. Couldn't see anything when I tested last night but I'm not out until AF arrives! Smile
