When to take a test?

I'm currently about a week late (second cycle since coming off the pill). I haven't taken a test because I'm having the usual pre-period symptoms. How long would you leave it before taking a test? With my first pregnancy I knew on day one of my late period that I was pregnant, this time I haven't got that feeling.

Anyone in the same boat? Should I wait two weeks?

Don't want to take a test and be disappointed if it's best to wait two weeks.

If your a week late then a pregnancy test should definitely show positive if you are by now
