Forgot to start pill packet

Ok so I know how daft I am but I only just remembered that I was due to start a new pack of combined pills on Sunday and today is Friday! That was after my pill free week and I had sex on Sunday night. I've taken a test today which is negative but even if I was pregnant it would be too early to show up now. So what do I do? Do I start the new pack now or wait for another week and retest first?

If you had conceived yes it would be too early to test.

You still would have been ‘covered’ on Sunday but sperm can live for up to 5 days so on the off chance you ovulated between Monday and Thursday there is a slim chance I guess.

I’d wait for a period then start my new pack if I were you (I think you are supposed to) and use condoms until then.

If you haven’t had a period in the next 10 days or so test again.
