Negative test - no period

My period is nearly two days late which is very unusual for me, they're always regular and always arrive when expected. Tested 4ish days ago with an early detection test and came back negative. I've been cramping on and off every day since I ovulated on the 8th.. boobs are bigger and sore, bad mood swings and really emotional etc.

Was convinced I was pregnant up until I took the last test then started to feel as though just pms symptoms (which I never usually get but used to a lot.) but af still not here.. thoughts?

Have you not tested again? Could be you ovulated slightly later this cycle. Do you track ovulation?

@VenusStarr I use an app that tracks ovulation + af and know I ovulated when the app predicted because I started cramping etc. I've been using the app for well over a year and predictions have always been accurate and af always comes when it says it will x

I should add that with my last pregnancy I tested about 4 days before af was due and got a very very dark line.. and I didn't use an early detection test. Not sure that it will be the same this time around though.. x
