Implantation Bleeding but no symptoms or BFP

Hello,

I'm 38 have been ttc for 12 months now - we have done everything we can think of = yams, CB fertility monitor, temping, supplements, all the sexual positions (everything!!) - my DH sperm is apparently perfect amy my womb is apparently grand (didn't get the tube tests yet as we moved house and I had to register for testing all over again...).

This month for the first time ever I got brown spotting - which I've never, ever had before - at 10dpo (I ovulate CD 12/13). I feel fairly certain this was implantation - I wasn't due AF for a week. As my boobs had been really sore and my nipples swollen I got excited!

But this morning my boobs are much less sore and I did a HPT (13 dpo and 3 days after IP) and it was negative, I'm also not experiencing any other symptoms.

Can anyone tell me if this means I'm out or if there's some hope? I know I'm clutching at straws but we literally - just a week ago - decided we were going to have to stop trying actively because the rollercoaster was making me so sad...and now I'm all hopeful again!

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time.

I'm no sure about implantation bleeding as I've never had it myself but unfortunately there is the chance that it was unrelated spotting or possibly failed implantation, or you might just need to give it a few more days for the hcg to be at a high enough level for a hpt - what test did you use? Could try an frer they are the most sensitive

@abi58 Thank you so much for your reply. It did occur to me that it might be a failed implantation. I tested this morning with a Superdrug because I had it lying around but will test tomorrow with a FRER as I'm due to go to a festival this tomorrow. On the plus side my boobs have started hurting again and some yellow/milky liquid came out of one of my boobs (haha! These are your plus sides when TTC)...so I'm trying to stay positive :)

Hey, I'm 30 and been trying for the 12ms too. I have the same as you 1 week before af due brown spotting only when I wiped didnt need a pad or anything and went on for 9 days very unusual, af due last week never arrived. And several bfn

I've had ovulation bloods 2 months in a row now and just got back from the doctors to discuss these blood results. Found out I'm not even ovulating and the spotting was my womb cleaning!!

I'm lost what to do now. I hope your in a better poistion then me.

@waitingformetime I'm so sorry. That must have been such am emotional rollercoaster. I've never heard of womb cleaning. I hope they find a way to get you ovulating. Obviously, I understand how upset and frustrated you must be and send hugs...also though, 30 is so young (compared to nearly 40!) you've time to find the solutions that work for you and your partner. Hi op I'm so sorry you are struggling to conceive!

I can't really give you any advice but I didn't have and white/milky discharge until the last trimester in my pregnancies so it may be worth getting it checked out incase you have an infection, it may be normal and I just haven't heard of it happening before. Sorry if that's the case!

Hi @clemmy0m thanks for your lovely words. I think the boob thing is OK - apparently it's common around ovulation time in some women - as long as there's not loads then it's just one of those weird body things.

No nausea today, my boobs have entirely deflated (!) and PMT sent by the devil himself so I guess this isn't my month...at least I get to enjoy the weekend :)
