I know there’s loads of advice dotted across this forum, but I thought we could try and pool them in one place.

I’m currently approaching the year mark and wonder if I’ve been doing everything I can.

Soooooo.... what have you tried/ what are you doing?

The sorts of things I mean are B vitamins to lengthen cycles?
Vitamins for partner?
Does mindfulness work?
Etc!

Check your cervical mucus, and time sex when it’s at its thickest - I got this tip from my acupuncturist

Ok get ready...

  1. first thing was I read a LOT of science stuff about the quality of sperm. You will need to read this yourself for the exact days but It said something like if the man hadn't ejaculated for 7 days then the sperm die or are very sluggish and old so you need to get rid of that 'load'. Then it said something like if you have brand new sperm (like 12 hours old or something) then they are not very mature so not great swimmers. So the best thing was something like he ejaculates 3 days before you want to conceive (get rid of old sperm) and then two days before you want to conceive (sperm can last for a few days) and then the day you want to conceive so you will have two lots of ejaculations where the sperm is 24-48 hours old which is optimum.

  2. you need to work out when to make love. I did a wee on an ovulation stick every morning as soon as I woke because that gave me a few days notice about when I was about to ovulate so we could get rid of dh's old sperm.

These first two things I felt were more science based. The next I thought couldn't hurt!

  1. after making love I would stay lying down for 20 minutes if possible to try not to let the sperm seep out of me.

Good luck!

Maya massage. It literally breaks up all the old tissue etc which has been hanging around in there for years, and which will be worse if you have anything like endometriosis. After a few sessions I had a horrendously heavy and painful period, then fell pregnant the next month after trying for quite some time. Anyone I spoke to at the clinic I went to had amazing things to say about it and I'm surprised it isn't more well known.
