Just feeling a bit down. We have been ttc for almost a year now and haven't had even a hint of a BFP. I have AF every month, though my cycle varies from 29 to 36 days so irregular.

The last couple of weeks all my good friends have been announcing their pregnancies, a couple of them conceiving on their first cycle trying. I have just found out another friend is 6 weeks pregnant.

I just feel like it is never going to happen for me. My friends will all be having their babies around the same time and I feel so left out. I don't even want to see them at the moment as they keep talking about their pregnancies and it's making me sad. Anyone else feel like this?

Thanks for all the messages and advice. I decided to book myself in for an initial consultation and fertility scan which I had a couple of days ago. Turns out I have polycystic ovaries which the consultant thinks is the reason why I'm struggling to get pregnant. I have already been given a prescription of metformin and have to go back in a few months if I haven't got pregnant by then. No other problems identified which is positive! I'm so happy I went, so worth the money and time spent!!

@SummerSun10 hi! Great news you have some answers that's brilliant, really positive! Was good to see any update from you. Things can only get better from here & you will have a BFP soon Smile.

I have my Dr appointment this Fri morning so I'm a bit nervous but keen to get things moving along. I've decided to be kinder to myself this month so been going to a fancy yoga studio & have booked some acupuncture for sat GrinGrin

@Pearlg so sorry I completely missed your message! How did your doctors appointment go?

Distractions are good, I told myself if it doesn't happen this month I'm booking in for a spa day.

@SummerSun10 that's okay don't worry thanks for checking back with me on the Dr's appointment.

The Dr started out with saying that my cycles might different now due to miscarriage but aren't varied enough for a Gynae appointment, basically felt like she was fobbing me off a bit! I was sorta prepared for this 'things take time to settle down' talk so I quickly started into one about my constant re-curing thrush (sorry tmi Blush) that might be hormonal & could I maybe have a blood test?!! She has booked me one for this Monday which is day 21 of my cycle. I already feel better something is happening!

I might steal your idea with the spa day, we defo deserve it lol

Sorry this is a bit long winded!
