Hi looking to speak to anyone who's had two miscarriages in a row & if they have gone on top have successful pregnancy's?
I had a miscarriage on the 19th of June & then today 😢 literally one 4 weeks a few days apart.
The second was a chemical pregnancy. Had faint positives but all the symptoms
Worried about the future & if to even try again. :(

I am so sorry for your losses. Ive had slightly similar, a miscarriage followed by an ectopic then a healthy pregnancy with a baby, all within 12 months.
Wishing you luck x

Sorry for your losses. I had two miscarriages in a row very close to each other. I then fell pregnant again and went on to have a little girl. The three pregnancies from first miscarriage to healthy birth were over a 16 month period. It's more common than I realised at the time because a lot of people don't talk about it. X

tadpole39 · 21/07/2019 19:56

Yep, had my dd aged 37 then 4 possibly 5 early miscarriages before finally producing ds aged 42! Me not him obvs! Would go through it all again for my gorgeous boy.

Lauraliverpool · 21/07/2019 23:08

Me too, missed miscarriage in 2015 then went to have my son in 2016, then two consecutive missed miscarriages last June and this April, currently trying again. X

MarthasGinYard · 21/07/2019 23:17

I had a MMC at 17 weeks

Next was a MMC at 10 weeks

Couldn't put us through it again

Very luckily Have one healthy dc previous to losses.

Hi,
I haven't got a success story (yet) but I've also had 2 losses back to back. One beginning of May and one mid June, have allowed one cycle to have AF now trying again. It makes you feel like it's never going to happen and I feel that even a BFP won't make me happy now, I will only be happy when I see a normal 12 week scan! Good luck 🌈 x

Michellebops · 21/07/2019 23:23

Hi, did you have a negative test following the miscarriage in June? It took me 9 weeks following a miscarriage to get a negative.

If you didn't then the faint positives was likely old hcg and your body resetting itself.

If you have started your period this is a good sign, you can start checking for ovulation within the next week or so and hopefully have a successful month.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 21/07/2019 23:24

Had two MMCs in 2017, tried again although I was pretty pessimistic and my third pregnancy turned into my DD who's currently rolling around in her cot whilst having the hiccups ☺

But at that time it was tough. If I knew it'd work I'd do it again but I do understand that you just don't know at the time and it can make things that much harder

I had two miscarriages 7 months apart and now have a healthy 15 month old.

louisepottsx · 22/07/2019 09:11

So sad to hear how common this is it's so heart breaking :( I had two negatives pregnancy tests after my miscarriage one at home around 7 days after my miscarriage which was quick & then hospital repeated one after 9 days . All my symptoms went after about 10 days and started to feel like myself again. Then around a week ago, the symptoms started again mainly sickness, therefore I took the tests and were faint, started to get slightly darker Saturday just gone & then Sunday the bleeding started, and feeling really ill 💔. I feel like the pain and discomfort is the feeling of my previous miscarriage rather then a period but want to go to the doctors to confirm . I've decided to relax with it, staying of contraception but not going to get obsessed with ovulation sticks and pregnancy's tests. The effect it has on my mental state is crazy, which I'm sure you all u can relate too :( I hope those of you that haven't had your happy ending get it very soon xxx

I had a pregnancy of unknown location last year which luckily resolved itself naturally, and then last month I had a mmc. I’m hoping that because they were both different types of miscarriage, and the fact I already have a 2 year old it means that there is nothing seriously wrong, but I guess only time will tell! Good luck to everyone who is still ttc, and sorry we have all had to go through this x

misstime · 22/07/2019 19:06

I had three miscarriages in 10 months. But got pregnant a 4th time a few months later and I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant! It can work out ok so don't be too disheartened. The NHS do not do any testing until you've had three miscarriages for that reason. As it was all my tests by the NHS were normal so I was told the miscarriages were just bad luck......

SunnySunshine1990 · 22/07/2019 20:34

Hey, I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in April and then conceived again straight away which ended in a chemical pregnancy :( we didn't make the most of my last ovulation so just coming off AF now, hoping that this is our month! X

CottonSock · 22/07/2019 20:39

I had two, then a daughter but then another 2 misscarriages followed trying for another child. I was ready to give up trying but then my second daughter was my final miracle.

It was all very stressful and I had close monitoring after spotting with both girls.

I tried asprin, progesterone and cleaxane- but that was given after a mess up reading my blood results.
A sympathetic gp might refer you. But most say after 3 in a row.

It is truly horrible. Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

LaurenSarah22 · 22/07/2019 20:41

Yep I had them 6 months apart followed by my rainbow baby six month later.

My miscarriages were due to low progesterone. I went to a private clinic and got progesterone pessaries as soon as I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd

verystressedmum · 22/07/2019 21:18

I had 2 in a row. About a year to 18 months apart. I had 2 dc already then 2 missed miscarriages then a year later I went onto to have my third (and final) baby.
They have that gap because I didn't feel like trying for a while after each mc.

MegaMonsterMunch · 22/07/2019 21:23

7 recurrent here. About to give to my baby girl now. Sending you lots of love and strength x

catofdoom · 22/07/2019 21:29

I've had 8 now.

mathanxiety · 22/07/2019 21:33

What a sad few weeks you have had.

I had three in a row after DD1 - October, December and the following May, 28 years ago. All were early MCs - latest was 8 weeks. I had a D&C after the last one. My OB wanted to test for genetic abnormalities.

None were found so he prescribed progesterone suppositories and my next pregnancy was successful, though I did have a threatened placenta previa that resolved itself.

Stressedteacher2435 · 22/07/2019 21:37

I had three in a row over the space of a year, then went on to have two healthy daughters. I had testing done and no reason was ever found, so doctors put it down to very bad luck.
It’s soul destroying when your in the middle of it but there’s no reason you won’t go on to have a successful pregnancy in the future.
Wishing you luck and strength xx
