Testing too early?

Hello everyone, looking for some advice.

I've been having some odd symptoms lately. I've been feeling very nauseous (on the verge of being sick), will often come home and sleep for 3-5 hours after work, mood swings and need to go to the bathroom every hour.

I don't get regular periods, when I used to track them about a year ago, it varied from a 28 day cycle to a 39 day cycle and so forgive me for doing so, but I stopped tracking them. Instead I often wait until I get PMS and this always indicates that I'm due on the following week.

Here is where my problem starts, I'm certain that my last period was sometime in May. I had unprotected intercourse on June 29th and was positive that I was due on the following week because I was having back pains as I normally would. It's now 3 weeks later and still nothing. I did a Clearblue Digital with Weeks indicator last week (would have been 2 weeks after intercourse) and one this morning (3 weeks later) and they were both 'Not Pregnant'.

I can't think why I would be this late and feeling these kind of symptoms if I wasn't. I was wondering if I could have some advice from you all as I have no experience of this kind of thing. I've heard that the First Response tests are better, so I'm wondering if I'm just testing too early.

Thank you!
