EWCM, negative CB OPK...

Hi all,

Trying to follow SMEP this month so unsure on what to do tonight...

I've had EWCM today (brilliant news! I don't think I've had any properly since the cycle we conceived in Jan- so really relieved as it's one more sign that I might be ovulating!). But I'm using CB OPK's, the dual hormone tests, this month and they're still showing as low fertility just a plain circle. We had sex yesterday so ideally we were going to skip tonight and then do it again tomorrow etc... but would you do it tonight too? I've not had ewcm in a long time and don't wanna miss anything!

Hi @susso, I'm sorry for your loss. I had a mmc in April and we're trying smep this cycle too 🤞 I would probably dtd tonight if you can. Ewcm is a really good sign and I'd be inclined to listen to your body.

@susso I have the same as you! Ewcm last night but still flashing smiley today. I think ewcm can appear for several days before ovulation, so I'm still hopeful to get a static smiley before the weekend is out. But I would try and DTD every day for the next 4 or 5 days if you can- that's my plan anyway. Good job the weekend is almost here!

@susso I would also add i think the best way to pinpoint ovulation is to use a combination of all of your info- cm, opk, CD and previous ovulation dates in past cycles etc. Are you near the right CD for your ovulation?

@VenusStarr thank you, sorry for yours too- it is really awful. Yeah I think we'll try and DTD tonight too because I kinda feel like I'm ovulating too so! Hoping SMEP is successful for you, I have everything crossed!! 🌈 xxx

@Skyla01 thanks for getting back to me! Yeah I think you're right! I'm close to when I normally ovulate, probably about 2 days off so kind of adds up! Think I'll follow your footsteps and dtd as many times as we can! Yeah I've been tracking cm, doing normal opks too etc so fingers crossed I'll catch it! Good luck! Xxx
