Can a test be positive this early?

Hi ladies
Currently ttc baby no2. Period this month was early coming on the 1st-4th instead of the 4th-8th. I thought it was implantation bleeding as I had an hour of very light pink spotting then stopped but then within a few hours I had a period start.
Pretty sure I ovulated on the 14th/15th (had ovary pain and was predicted on my ovulation calendar) making me 4dpo roughly. I’ve got a clear addiction to pregnancy tests so I’ve just done one expecting a negative but then this line came up, it came up within two mins and has stayed the same. My womb has felt crampy and swollen ever since my supposed ovulation date. The test was the first response early result test (the one that gives results 6 days before a missed period). Does anyone think this could be a positive or can you even get a positive this early? Has anyone experienced this? With my first I wasn’t even trying so I only took a test about a week after my period didn’t come. Thank you!

4dpo seems to early to me. It’s very unusual to get a positive pre-i plantation, and that wouldn’t be for another 3 days. Unless you ovulated early I suspect that’s a false positive. Try again tomorrow morning and see if the line is any darker?

🤞🏻 for you but if your dates are correct I doubt that's a true positive. Try again in a couple of days it should be darker by then ☺️

Well you’re dates are similar to mine & I’ve just had the same 🤔 I’m thinking either it’s a dodgy test or ovulated earlier! I’ve also been having some cramps.. feeling sicky! How odd! Good luck x
