Congratulations @eventrider1 :D

Any ladies testing this weekend?

I was just having a read through my "symptoms" that i recorded last month in the two week wait and having a giggle to myself. Trying to be more relaxed this month

LokiCat · 19/07/2019 19:49

@Eventrider1 congratulations!

@MIW01 I'm sorry about your BFN. Fingers crossed the next cycle is the one. Do you use any test to predict ovulation? (Sorry if you've already said before).

@Anny27 it is funny how I always manage to convince myself that I'm pregnant - I was so sure I was pregnant last month! I'm glad I put all the symptoms in my app now though, I know what not to look for 😂
When will you be testing?

Imjustme2019 · 19/07/2019 19:50

@Eventrider1 congratulations, wonderful news, we've been trying since around then too, glad it's happening for you.

@ELW85 I'm just temping, I don't want to get obsessive about it as that's how I can get, wondering if it's due to change in medication that's caused it. How are you feeling today?

FlapJackered · 19/07/2019 20:34

Hi everyone just getting in on this thread!
Sorry I have been absent I am rammed with work at the moment so hardly have time breathe or think about ttc! I hope everyone is doing ok? I am sure I have missed lots of lovely bfps and will try and catch up when I come out the other end!
Had DHs SA results back and they weren't great, so it looks like that may be our problem. He is off the booze now and we are getting rid of everything toxic in the house to try and improve it. He is unimpressed with cutting down on cycling though, he is a Lycra fan. 👎🏻
I honestly believe his love of cycling takes over his want for a family. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Maisy24 · 19/07/2019 20:43

@Anny27 I'm going to be testing Sunday if AF doesn't arrive by then. I will be 12dpo but had no symptoms other than a heavy feeling for the past week and a got slight spotting around 5dpo xxx

Maisy24 · 19/07/2019 20:46

@FlapJackered hello, glad you have got to the bottom of why it isn't happening, my DH is going to go the doctors if it hasn't happened this time, I feel bad for him though as he is worried it's him. Did the hospital advise cutting booze? Any advice you can give that the specialist said? I hope things start to happen for you now xxxx

FlapJackered · 19/07/2019 20:51

@Maisy24 the consultant did mention not drinking/smoking too much and that cycling wasn't great and no hot baths or saunas. We are seeing the consultant on 6th August so we will be asking lots of questions then. Hopefully your DHs results will come back fine but if not I will let you know what the consultant says. 🤞🏻

ELW85 · 19/07/2019 21:12

@Imjustme2019 - it could be meds related; could you ask your GP?
I’m not too bad thank you, really tired but that’s about it! Just keeping everything crossed we get a happy outcome :)

@FlapJackered @Maisy24 - I would totally recommend CoQ10 for men; there are loads of studies into it that show it helps sperm. It’s even in some vits for men now. Hope that helps?

Maisy24 · 19/07/2019 21:16

@ELW85 thanks for the advice! I will definitely get some for him. I hope you are relaxing and not overdoing anything, glad to hear you are feeling better.

@FlapJackered thanks for the info and that would be great to know what the consultant said, I will let you know how my DH gets on when he's had the SA.

You ladies are amazing you all keep me sane. It's amazing how woman come together in times like these Smile xxx

Anny27 · 19/07/2019 21:29

@LokiCat i think i will test earliest 28th July (AF due on 30th) so hopefully i can hold on till then! Yep i am glad i recorded the symptoms last month so i can remind myswlf that my PMS symptoms are very much like pregnancy ones! You're at the start of this cycle arent you? How long are your cycles usually or are they irregular?

@Maisy24 good look for sunday! Fingers crossed for you and hopefully DH won't need to do the doctors visit!

@lozzlepop hope you are doing okay lovely and can try and have a relaxing and quiet weekend

Maisy24 · 19/07/2019 21:43

@Anny27 my cycle this time has been SO LONG , I'm on cycle day 43 now! I'm praying that this is a one off, I've attached my chart look at last cycle compared to this one! Sad

@ELW85 really good news, in a way. Right ovary is still functioning! Aiming for an egg from lefty, but righty is productive for the first time ever.

This means the massive hydrosalpinx didn't kill the blood supply, so if we need ivf we have both sides.

Chemical pregnancy has officially made it into the notes, so not pissing into the wine trying to use our tube!

Might try tracking until I'm 30 in January.

ValidUser · 19/07/2019 21:54

How are you doing? X

ValidUser · 19/07/2019 21:55

#wind

ValidUser · 19/07/2019 21:55

*wind not # or wine!

MIW01 · 19/07/2019 22:10

@LokiCat I get ovulation pain so I can feel when I ovulate and which side it's on. Last month it was 3 days before what the app predicted and we've been following GP advice to DTD every other day.

@Maisy24 @FlapJackered my OH has dodgy sperm motility and I've put him on Wellman conception and methyl folate and am revamping his diet. GP and I are very pro low carb, whole food approach so that's what he's on. He is otherwise very lean, active, fit and healthy but does need to learn to manage stress better!

I'm doing a hormone reset nuttition plan as I need to lose at least 4ins from my waist to be considered in the healthy range. My BMI is borderline at 24.9 so would be good to bring that down too. I'm eating egg, fish, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I've cut out caffeine, dairy, grain, sugar, fruit and alcohol completely. And I'm taking Angus castus as I have low progesterone and read it helps raise it but now reading things that say only in certain circumstances so I think if it doesn't happen in August I'll ditch it. I'm also taking methlyfolate, pregnacare conception, magnesium etc.

Macbless · 19/07/2019 22:27

@FlapJackered how much does your husband cycle? My DH does triathlons and is doing an Ironman next weekend. I don’t want to stop him doing things but equally we definitely want kids. Hmmm... 😣

Imjustme2019 · 19/07/2019 23:08

@Maisy24 my cycle is all over the place too this month, temp dropped to a low it's never been and then rocketed the next, my app is also not confirming I've ovulated too. Who'd have thought it would be such a mystery!!!!! Have you done a PG test?

@ELW85 the medication did play a little havoc before, took a couple of months to settle, we're DTD more often than before though so we're improving in one way at least. Glad you're feeling better, keeping everything crossed for you

Sunshine8888 · 19/07/2019 23:19

I’m feeling horribly confused. After 45 days of waiting for a period (after 15 years) I was expecting heavy bleeds and awful cramps but on CD2 (which on the pill was the worst day) it’s pretty light and I have zero pain. I mean I’m slightly delighted but also worried as I thought periods off the pill were meant to be so much worse!!

Larrydavid · 20/07/2019 00:12

@Eventrider1 so many congratulations 🎉🎊🎈 such a clear line!! Hope the next nine months are smooth for you.

@MrsH497 have fun in Devon! Sounds like a good weekend you have planned!

@ELW85 I think you asked about my wedding dress on the last thread (sorry if it was someone else!) I'm 99% sure I've chosen it - it's a beaut. Need to go back and try it on again I think!

@Sunshine8888 I came off my coil after 15 years and my periods were super light and I was expecting them to go back to being heavy. It might take a bit of time for your body to adjust?

ELW85 · 20/07/2019 06:46

@ValidUser - that is brilliant news, my dear!! Do you go back in a few days for another scan then potential trigger shot?
And yeah, definitely don’t piss in the wine 😂
I’m not too bad thanks, trying to stay positive and fighting the urge not to take an HPT every day but I’ll be taking another at some point this weekend and one next week, so just send me some good vibes please 😊

@Maisy24 - you’re welcome! Ubiquinol is the active version for women but hasn’t been as proven to be as effective on eggs as it has on sperm.

@Larrydavid - it was me! Do tell, I love a good wedding dress :)

Thank you, @Imjustme2019 - I really hope your cycle settles soon!

FlapJackered · 20/07/2019 07:58

Thanks @ELW85 @MIW01 he has been on coq10 for about 6 months now so hopefully that is helping it, I have switched him to proxeed from wellman conception which is horrendously expensive but meant to have good results. 🤞🏻 Our diet is pretty good, he was drinking a lot though so I am hoping giving up the booze will do the job.

@Macbless he cycles at least 3 times a week. I think unless there is a problem cycling is fine. My brother-in-law cycles every day to work and has never had a problem in that department. If you're having trouble though it might be worth getting a sperm analysis. The consultant wasn't going to retest my DH until he found out he cycled, so obviously there is some evidence there to suggest it isn't good news.

@Sunshine8888 mine were super light after coming off the pill. My GP said it takes some time to build up the lining. Although mine are still light now (2 years later) and I have had scans and my lining and everything looks good so I don't think it's anything to worry about. As long as you soak through at least a couple of tampons each cycle then it's fine. It may take up to 6 months to get back to normal though. It did for me.

goodnightsugarpop · 20/07/2019 09:18

weirdest symptom spotting yet: my lactose intolerance might have got better??? Had a little bit of cheese with dinner last night & no digestive problems yet! I've heard this can happen in later pregnancy but at 10dpo??

Sunshine8888 · 20/07/2019 11:17

Ok thanks @FlapJackered. At least it arrived I suppose! Just got to keep my fingers crossed that it doesn’t take too long for cycles to shorten and become regular 🤞🏻

Lozzlepop · 20/07/2019 11:24

Congratulations @Eventrider1 what lovely news! Here’s to a very healthy and happy 9 months ahead!!
