@LokiCat oh whats your exam in? Date night was great, the Lion King is fantastic, not as good as the original but still worth a watch! I am very tired today as it was so hot last night then the thunderstorm woke us up so I have had about 2 hours sleep 😭Did you have a nice dinner somewhere?

@PippaPug I am so pleased to hear you had a fantastic wedding day, must have been even more special with your secret news! where are you honeymooning? I am doing ok, just constantly roasting in this heat 😓

@MrsH497 oh yes it was a loud one alright, rain was absolutely pouring down too! When does operation SMEP start?

@Makingawish oh rather you than me, I can hardly stand to be next to DP in the bed in this heat lol if I could be bothered with the hassle of taking the sheets off the bed then I definitely would put them in the freezer!

@Lozzlepop not doing too good. I thought everything had stopped yesterday and had only brown spotting this morning when I first got up. Made an appointment at the doctors for this afternoon and I'm glad I did as I've started bleeding again. Have a such a bad feeling. But this mornings hpt was a stronger bfp than yesterday. I've attached a picture.
Not sure what to think 😔 x

@hopeandpray1988 today’s test does look stronger! Fingers crossed for you that everything is ok 🤞

@hopeandpray1988 the line does look darker today, how many DPO are you? Is the bleeding still brown? You just need to try and stay positive until you get an answer from the dr, are you going to get an EPU referral? Stay strong and think positive thoughts xx

@ELW85 @LokiCat I've been referred to the epu. They're going to get me in for an early scan either today or ASAP. Hopefully have some more answers. I've been prescribed Cefalaxin in case of infection

@ELW85 that sounds lovely, glad you had a nice night! Weeks been good so far. We're in training till about 4 and then out for the evening! Lots of nice restaurants around the hotel and the weather is great here as well! Although very loud thunderstorm last night.
Missing DH immensely though, so bombarding him with texts 😂

@Lozzlepop ah that's great, glad you had great night! I think the originals will always be best, but I'm excited to go see it! Dinner was great and the pub opposite had a live jazz band playing, so had a really good night!
There was a horrible thunderstorm here as well, and there's bars right opposite the hotel - I hardly got any sleep. Hope you manage some more tonight!
The exam is just on the software we've been getting trained on this week. It's open book so I have no excuse to fail 😂

@hopeandpray1988 today's line does look stronger and from what I read generally HCG doubles every 48 hours, so it's looking positive! That's great that they've hooked an early scan for you. Have everything crossed for you xx

So I’ve just done a cheap OPK tonight before starting CB ones tomorrow and the result it gave today at CD8 is the same as it was last cycle at CD12 so I think I’m looking to ovulate a bit earlier than my apps say which predict 6/7 days. Glad I done it now because I wasn’t due to start using the CB ones til Friday and I could possibly miss ovulation at that point.

Thanks @LokiCat. My scan isn't until next Wednesday, so got to wait a whole week 😔 said they couldn't scan any earlier as was pointless based on the first day of the last period. Going to keep taking hpt for the next few days and see if the line continues to get darker 🤞🏻
Bleeding seems to have slowed right down again and back to a few brown spots. God knows what's going on 😔 xx

Have you ever tried SMEP?

I’ve still getting blank OPKs CD19, I’ve just read that seven seas trying to conceive can delay ovulation, this is my first month taking them as I had just been taking folic acid before. Anyone else had longer cycles while taking it?

@whatsthecraic91 i have been taking seven seas folic acid for 2 and a half months and both my cycles have had cd15/16 ovulation days which is pretty normal for me

@LokiCat - hiya! Pleased you’re having a nice a time as possible away :) do you and DH get to FaceTime?
I’m not too bad thank you! Had an awful day for a load of (non pregnancy related) reasons but I don’t want to be a whinge so I’m putting it behind me, haha!

@hopeandpray1988 - that was the same advice I was given. My scan is also next week. The midwife called me today to see how I’m feeling and she’s feeling pretty confident about it all.
I know it’s terrifying, and you feel like you just want an answer now, but sadly there really isn’t a lot that can be done.
Try to relax and just take the midwife/EPU advice - got everything crossed for you x

@ELW85 I have everything crossed for you too! I'm not convinced I'll be 6 weeks by the time they do the scan but will see what happens. I think I'll be 5 weeks.

@ELW85 also did you fill in midwife forms at the doctor? Or did the midwife ring you as a result of your doctors appointment? I haven't even got round to it yet. Suppose I'll ask at the epu on Wednesday. Xx

@Imjustme2019 defs recommend the book! I'm doing smep. It's my second month of it but I honestly think I missed my ovulation last month (I think I ovulated later than my opk suggested as I had pains and EWCM 3-4 days after smiley!) we got a static smiley face last night but we're just going to keep dtd until we're sure this time! Though this heat is killing me! Are you doing it too? Smep I mean.

Erm before my spotting started, the doctor told me to ring community midwives to register the pregnancy, so I did that. They booked me in for my midwife/form filling in appointment so I’ve done that.
In between all that, the spotting started so I rang the EPU directly so it was all dealt with separate to the usual midwife procedure.
You’re not meant to have a booking in apt until 8 weeks but I think they had a cancellation which is why they got me in.
I’ve got my scan next Wednesday (6w) so keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

@Larrydavid no I haven’t used the CB ones before. How does it know if the first time you use it is your peak? Chances are it wouldn’t be but I guess it’s a possibility!

@Makingawish they have to establish a base line so you need to use them a few days before your fertile week. The first time I used them, I started on day 6 I think and I got a flashing smiley about 4 days later.

I am 10dpo at the moment and have had some increased milky cm (tmi!) And a slight temp increase. Fighting the urge to test untill atleast 12dpo!

@Larrydavid we did SMEP last month. Was tiring however haha. Good idea to keep going a little more than the plan says if you think you may have ovulated later than your LH peak :)

@Lozzlepop This is my line progression since Tuesday. From 10-13dpo. Hoping it's a positive thing and I get good news from the early scan next week 🤞🏻

Hey guys just Jumping on this thread if no one minds 😅

Ok so I had one IC OPK left in the bathroom, had some EWCM at work last night so caved this morning and tested, now this is the darkest result I've even gotten from an OPK

Does this mean ovulation is close? I've ran out of them now and don't want to buy more as we're not trying this month

Can someone shed light 😅

The top test was done Tuesday morning and the bottom one done this morning both lines cane up within 5 mins
