Hi everyone.

It's the first day of my missed period and I just got a very strong BFP. I'm so happy!
This is our first baby so have not been through any of this before! What is the first thing I do? Do I phone Drs or midwife? I'm totally clueless!

Aw congratulations!! I don't know from personal experience but when my friends have got their BFPs they have phoned the midwives first (phoned doctors and they advised to phone midwife). Presume it would be the same for yourself but I'm sure there will be others who can advise x

@Kam610 congratulations!

Can I ask you how long you were trying for? I'm currently in the 2 week wait almost through the first week.

Have you been having any symptoms? X

I got a form from local GP surgery which is a self-referral form to the midwife. They then contacted me when I was around6/7 weeks to make an app for booking in app.
Congratulations!

kmx- ok thank you!

FearnRJ - I have been off my pill since end of March and was half heartedly trying since then but we were kind of holding off until our holiday which we just got back from yesterday. So on our holiday we DTD every 2nd day around ovulation and it worked! So I guess it was 1st proper cycle TTC. Symptoms so far is extreme breast soreness (which I get on and off before period due but this is way more intense) slight cramping/ lower back pain, nausea and fatigue (although probably due to jet lag)

Marshmallow- thanks, I will nip in to my GP surgery at some point!

I havnt even told DH yet, it's his birthday on Wednesday so want to surprise him 🙈
