Implantation cramps

I'm just wondering when they occur and what they feel like? X

I’ve never had implantation cramps but I’ve heard they feel like faint period cramps or can feel like pinching in the uterus. I think depending on where you are in your cycle, anything different for you should be taken as a good sign

Rubyrubyrubyrubyaaaaaaah · 15/07/2019 10:56

Oh and they occur anywhere from 6dpo-12dpo generally. Most people seem to get them 9/10dpo but earlier or later is still normal

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 11:09

I'm only 5 dpo but feels like a mild dull ache that keeps coming and going. So not sure x

Rubyrubyrubyrubyaaaaaaah · 15/07/2019 11:11

I guess at 5dpo it could be implantation. Any bleeding?

Cegbee · 15/07/2019 11:13

Mine were intense and woke me from sleep- more intense than a period cramp but shorter, I thought I was starting my period. It was only after period didn't come and I tested that I realised what it was.

mimibunz · 15/07/2019 11:13

I understand they’re rare.

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 11:40

@Rubyrubyrubyrubyaaaaaaah nope no bleeding.

I had bad ache as well yesterday still got it today but not as bad mainly the dull ache I keep getting and needing to pee more today.

The symptoms I've been getting I don't normally get after ovulating, was really bloated too for 3 days after ovulating which doesn't normally happen and my boobs feel different to what they normally do around this time x

OP posts:
FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 11:48

It's only really mild but when it comes it feels like it could get quite strong but doesn't. Not at the minute anyway x

ElizaRosanna90 · 15/07/2019 12:52

If it’s unusual for you I’d definitely be feeling positive if I were you!

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 14:22

It's seems to have gone now I think x

I had a pinching pain on one side about 9days after conception, I remember complaining about it at dinner with DH and DM. I got a faint positive 5 days later and DS is now nearly 13 months Smile

However, I do take it with a pinch of salt as when ttc we become so aware of our bodies that things that we haven't noticed before suddenly we notice and they seem incredibly significant where they might not be. Hope you get the other come you want.

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 15:06

@meow1989 I know it's so hard not to symptom spot!

I've been tracking my cycles the past 4 months with Ovia and noting any symptoms I have been having between ovulating and period coming. I always start with period pains the week before my period comes and it's there until I come on so I'm looking out for that from this Wednesday/Thursday.

The 2 weeks just seem to drag!

ElizaRosanna90 · 15/07/2019 17:10

I know what you mean about symptom spotting! I’ve had bleeding for 2 days now and I’m 7dpo.
No cramping though so I really don’t know if it is IB Sad

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 20:29

@ElizaRosanna90 I've heard it can last a day or 2.

I've had really bad bloating again tonight haven't had it for the last few days and having really mild stomach cramps too and back ache.

Don't remember having these symptoms on my pervious cycles!

OP posts:
zenlife · 15/07/2019 21:15

When I was pregnant (I miscarried though) I had normal twinges and cramps that I would normally get before a period

FearnRJ · 15/07/2019 21:22

@zenlife sorry to hear that ❤️

I don't normally get twinges and cramps this early I usually only get really bad period pains the week leading up to my period x

FearnRJ · 16/07/2019 10:54

Today I've started with them again but a little more intense and more regular also feeling a little light headed and sick. My stomach also feels full x

Hi OP

I’ve been having the exact same symptoms, I tested BFN this morning. Although my periods are irregular so unsure really if I’m late (Ovia predicted monday AF was due, I predicted yesterday she still hasn’t shown) or because they are long I literally have to wait until a month has passed with no period before I test 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway I just wanted to jump on this thread and see how you get on and watch with interest x

FearnRJ · 16/07/2019 18:28

@AllHopeAndNoResults only time will tell I suppose! X

BeHereNowx32 · 16/07/2019 19:17

@FearnRJ I had very faint period pain. And a little pinching/ digging feeling on my right side. This was over one day. This was around 7 days after conception. Our baby was conceived by ivf, so I know exactly when conceived!

However, I also had period pain on my failed cycles. But it was really intense and lasted for days.
Good luck!

FearnRJ · 16/07/2019 21:38

I've felt different since I ovulated last Wednesday.

Had mild cramps on and off since then which is strange cause I normally don't have anything until a week before my period is due. Also had really bad bloating which is unusual for me. Started with more severe cramps today but still not as bad as pains I normally get before my period. My boobs are also really sore too x

My first pregnancy I experienced ovulation/period type cramps and had very light, pinkish blood on my tissue when I wiped. The cramps for me literally felt the exact same as period pains.. as soon as I saw the spotting I knew I was pregnant x fingers crossed for you Smile

FearnRJ · 17/07/2019 08:32

@Sydneey thank you I'll let you know.

I know everyone is different but how many days past ovulation did you have spotting? I'm 7 dpo and nothing yet. Wasn't sure if the cramping I had yesterday would be it and I know everyone doesn't have spotting/cramps x

With DD I had little tingling pains in the centre of my pelvis a few days before my positive test. I'd never felt it before, and I remember distinctly sitting at my desk (office to myself so quiet and no distractions) getting my hopes up. We got lucky the first month, so I just presumed I was overanalysing things, very typical for me! But if it had been even my second month trying I would've been pretty confident before the test, I felt plenty that wasn't usual for me.

Just started TTC #2 and I'm getting my hopes up again, but I know I get niggling pains in my c section scar mid month now, so need to cop myself on a bit!
