Ovulation and spotting - help!

I was expecting to ovulate around the 16th but yesterday I noticed a lot of EWCM and a bit of spotting - only once and a small amount of bright red blood.

I did an ovulation test straight after which was negative. Today I'm dry and no EWCM.

Do you think I ovulated yesterday, when I noticed the blood?

How many days into your cycle are you? how long since you last had sex?

I think so as I’ve had this before but it could also be implantation

@Blondiejay24 yesterday was cycle day 13 (I have 29 day cycles). Once I noticed the EWCM and spotting DH and I had sex afterwards!

It's definitely not implantation.

Do you think it meant the egg had just been released, as I had the spotting? Or it had already been released?

I'm worried DH and I had sex too late!

I’m fairly sure it’s that it was just released as the blood appears when it ‘pops’ out if you like
