Trying to conceive after coil removal

Hello,

I had my coil removed on the 17th June, had no bleeding or anything since.

Have been trying to conceive so have been sexually active a few times a week since.

These past few days I've had symptoms of a pregnancy but keep getting negative tests! Tingling boobs, constantly urinating, strong sense of smell.

Is it all phantom or could I actually be pregnant?

Thanks

Of course you could actually be pregnant, but my experience was that it took a while. I had the mirena for 5 years prior to TTC DD1 and it took 6 months for us. On the third month I had a scan as I had been experiencing painful ovulation and the lining of my womb was very thin. The gynaecologist that I saw said that this is very common in women who’ve had a coil and that it would probably be thick enough to support a pregnancy “after about six months”. It was like he was some kind of Womb Wizard because I got pregnant at exactly six months on from the removal.

Good luck.

Was it a copper coil? I conceived 3 months after having mine removed, and we weren't that serious about monitoring my cycle. In theory you should be fine to conceive straight away. Not sure for the mirena because hormones.

It was the Mirena coil. I'm just a bit confused as had no cramping or bleeding on removal and nothing since. Doctor told me it could take 4 weeks for periods to come back but I thought I would have had something by now.

All these symptoms are just getting my hopes up I think.

I had the period from hell two days after my coil was removed the following month I was pregnant.
