What should my cervix feel feel like?

Sorry may be very long but don't want to miss anything out. My OH and I have been ttc our third DC. I was on the depo for around a year, this ran out back in May so we've been off contraception for around two months. I'm aware it can take many months/years for fertility to return following the depo. My last AF was on 25th May, and this felt like a typical period.

This weekend, after going to the toilet, I had very light pink bleeding on Saturday, it wasn't enough to even mark a pad - only there when I wiped and only happened twice the whole weekend. I became very excited that this could possibly be implantation bleeding so have tested twice since then - first was yesterday with FMU and the second just before I went to sleep at 10pm last night. Both were definitely BFN. Obviously I am looking for any tiny symptoms that could equate to a BFP as we are so excited to have another!

So I checked my cervix this evening and it is very soft and high. Does anyone know what that means? I am probably clutching at straws as I know how much the depo can mess with ovulation and fertility etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thankyou Smile

Also should add my CM is now dry and sticky if that helps. So do you lovely ladies think I should test again? X

Unless near to labour when it should feel like your lips a women’s cervix should feel like the end of your nose. Generally speaking you should be poking around your cervix.

Your cervix normally is high and soft near ovulation but it can move and be different if you check at different times of the day. It's only really reliable once you've tracked yours for a couple of months and know your pattern. It's not accurate at showing pregnancy as although it moves up some people's don't move until 12weeks. With your hormones flying around the bleed could have been anything, could have even been ovulation? Are you tracking ovulation in any way?
If it was implantation give it a few more days for the hcg levels to be at a high enough level to be detected. 🤞🏻 for you

It should have the same kind of feeling as the end of your nose.

@Abi58 I've said to my partner I'd like to track my ovulation but he doesn't want to as it would take the fun out of trying and possibly make DTD a chore. I completely understand and as I've only so recently come off the depo, I'm not sure if I'd be able to successfully track it anyway! Therefore I'm looking for any little symptom in slight hope that it means something. Do you think I should test again at the weekend? This would mean 7 days have passed since the possible implantation.

Thanks everyone for replying xx

@Rebs94 yes if you test again at the weekend if it was implantation it should show.
A great way I tracked it was bought some cheap opks (one step) and that helps know when you are ovulating. Either don't tell him then it can't take the fun out of it or do but explain that while your cycles are regulating it's not to make dtd a chore but more to save you the turmoil of keep getting excited that you might be pregnant when you may not have even ovulated (not to mention the money unnecessarily wasted on tests)
🤞🏻

@Abi58 I've just ordered some OPKs and a couple of pregnancy tests online! Thank you for your help! Fingers crossed they'll be here before the weekend, my OH is working away this week but back on Friday night so would be nice to test when he's back. If it's a negative I will sneakily start tracking ovulation in my next cycle.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply! Will update at the weekend xx

@Rebs94 you're welcome ☺️ 🤞🏻 for you and looking forward to the update 😁

To update, I have tested twice this weekend - both negative! 🤞🏻 I can start tracking ovulation this month, I spoke to my OH and he said as long as I don't tell him when I'm ovulating and try to keep it spontaneous etc he's happy! ☺️ x
