Is raising progesterone naturally even possible?

Latest 21 Day progesterone test came back at 23.5 nmol. It had been up at 45 3 months ago but sadly that was a chemical pregnancy. Doctor is still saying my progesterone level was good at 45 so isn’t interested in looking any further. I had this latest test done privately. She says just wait and she’s sure she’ll see me back soon with good news. I’m not so sure though.

Is there anything I can do to raise my progesterone level myself? So many sites suggest diet changes etc but then there are equally as many sites saying it wouldn’t make much difference Sad

Yep, vitamin B6.

I conceived on it and my progesterone was only 12 a month before.

Thanks @ElspethFlashman Did you take any other supplements too? I currently take Vit D and folic acid but perhaps I should add Vit B6 as well.

I took Magnesium to lower oestrogen but honestly I'm not sure if that was needed.

The B6 definitely worked. I became very symptomatic and felt massively premenstrual. It also (according to the sticks) made me ovulate several days earlier so be aware of that. If I hadnt been using the sticks I might have missed my window.

If you have a vitamin d deficiency then it can help to raise progesterone. Don’t take B6 by itself as too much can cause problems. Use pregnacare as it contains the right doses of all the fertility vitamins you need (that’s why fertility clinics recommend it from conception).

Thanks everyone. Pregnacare gave me massive headaches, but I’ve bought some vit b complex to start taking today.

I had the opposite affect with B complex vits - they actually delayed my Ov as it suppresses estrogen that much.
I’ve read that a lot of people only take it from the day of Ov and then stop on CD1, which is what I’ll be doing from now on!

Oh dear, nothing is ever easy is it!

I’d be interested to know too, I currently take vit d, folic acid and just started Agnus Castus.

I was told by bloods came back as very low vit d and low progesterone and I’ve seen Agnus Castus can get that going again and of course my vit d tablets take care of that.
