Sperm Meets Egg (hopefully)

Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

@Bexss I can see something. How long after did the line appear? It looks a bit flooded

@Bexss it’s hard to tell. It looks half evap/half positive. How many DPO are you?

@AllHopeAndNoResults it wasn’t straight away but the wee stick was still wet so the wee hadn’t dried out? & it’s blue 🤷‍♀️ I thought this was more evap & this was after a couple days x

@Bexss I’d personally be inclined to say evap based on that 2nd picture, sorry. You can see where it’s bled through from the control window and doesn’t seem to have any colour.

@Makingawish No second pic is a different test I was showing you what i thought was evap sorry should of been more clear xx

@Bexss I do hear a lot though that the blue tests leave evaps. Leave it a few more days. It gets stronger every 48hrs if it’s a positive

@Bexss Ahh sorry! No you were clear, I just misunderstood 🙈 maybe take another one tomorrow if you can and dip it in a sample if you don’t do that already just to try and reduce the chance of an evap if the test floods!

Can a evap line have colour x

@Bexss I think they can but generally they don’t.

@AllHopeAndNoResults I'm great thanks hun how are you? Got home earlier from camping and had really poor internet connection there. Been taking AC once a day and I resisted the urge to do a frer test today so I'm proud of myself 😂😂

How are you? How are things getting on?

@Bexss I can see a faint line! But I would wait a little longer as the others suggested. Praying for a BFP for you!!!

@tinyole if you don’t win the award for keeping yourself busy in the TWW then I don’t know who else should 😂 camping, Paris...it’s enough to keep me distracted! Well done for resisting the urge, it’s much better to wait for the right time then you will know a difinitive answer instead of driving yourself crazy testing every other day.

I’m doing good thank you, I feel really positive about it all. I’m not pinning my hopes on it happening in the next 3 months but I defo feel it’s on the horizon which I haven’t felt for years so all good. My ovulation sticks are very slowly progressing and I’m also taking AC just once a day so I’m giving that time to work and hopefully by the time it does I’ll be able to pinpoint my ovulation day because I’ve been used to it.

@Bexss I’m glad you feel like you have support here, we all know how you feel so it’s good to be amongst those who do and any thing you need to ask or share no matter how big or small one of us will be able to help you through it x

@tinyole how many dpo are you now? And must not be long until you head to Paris! Hope your tww is going faster than mine!

@AllHopeAndNoResults you're doing all the right things! If nothing else this could be practice for future cycles, getting to know your body. Keep it up- with long cycles you need a bit more stamina with the opk.

How is everyone else?

@AllHopeAndNoResults I know keeping busy is the only way to stop myself obsessively testing every day 😂😂. It just worked out well that I had a lot planned! The harder part is not drinking any alcohol during all these events.

Love you attitude! The hardest part is holding on to hope during the process and you're crushing it so pat yourself on the back!!

@Skyla01 I'm 6dpo, how many are you? Literally counting down to Paris really looking forward to it. Have a whole schedule planned! It will be just nice to get away. The wait is definitely dragging though! How are you finding it?

@Skyla01 thank you,we are all doing the righ things. How are you getting on? How do you feel? I know it feels like a long time for you right now you’re being very patient and that’s always a good thing!

@tinyole that’s lucky you had it all planned I bet your itching to test but you’re doing so well! Only a few more days and you will know!

@OP no I think they are great! It's really nice to keep the positive vibes going. In today's world we're used to getting everything here and now. I think that's why ttc can be tough. We need to be humble & patient and keep the faith! What cycle day are you on?

@tinyole that's great! I also have a long weekend trip planned for day af is due. Hope she doesn't come and ruin our trip! I'm 5dpo so almost same as you. Time is going sooo slowly. I'm going to try and enjoy though because I'll be moody if AF shows up. Should try and enjoy the next 10 days and the little hope bubble!

@Skyla01 good I’m glad, I know how I feel sometimes so I can only imagine you all feel the same at times. I’m CD12, according to Ovia my ovulation day is in 7 days but Premom says 10 so I’m just going to keep opk during that period of time.

Weird though today my ovulation stick was a lower score than the past few days 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good you have a weekend away planned too defo distracts you from testing

@AllHopeAndNoResults I love a good quote! When are you doing your OPK’s? The cheap ones shouldn’t be done with FMU. I found it best doing them about 4pm after not drinking much the 2hrs before.

@Makingawish I don’t use fmu I tend to do one around 12 and one around 4. I think they may be reading right. I’ll just keep peeing all next week 😂

Hi everyone :) I've missed a fair few messages. Hope you're all OK.

I'm 8dpo today, had a dip in my temperature over the weekend (implantation 🤞) most likely not. I'm not feeling positive or negative about this cycle, just realistic.

Keep posting the positive messages though @AllHopeAndNoResults :)

@AllHopeAndNoResults ahh perfect then! You might find that you just get your surge at like 12pm one day and by 4pm it’s dropped again so it’s good to be doing it twice. What’s the highest you’ve got so far? Is it falling in line with when you usually ovulate?

@Makingawish 0.25 which I took just 10 mins ago so it is getting there, and your tip about the lighting has been helpful but then I’m not sure what’s the best light to do it because if it’s too bright will it give you a false stronger result and vice Versa for full lighting 🤦🏻‍♀️

The problem is I don’t know when I usually ovulate so actually this is great for me and I’ve been temping so I’m learning lol

@VenusStarr does a dip in temp usually mean implantation then? That’s great if it does it sounds hopeful and it’s good you are staying neutral the worst thing to do is get your hopes up. I’m also crossing my fingers for you
