Pregnancy at 47??

Hi,
Has anyone become pregnant at 47? How was pregnancy for you? How was it afterwards? I'm contemplating one last baby. I've had 2 children in my 40's. Both pregnancies natural conception, and problem free.
Am I crazy to even be considering this?

After a mmc at 45 my gp told me it was extremely unlikely I would have another dc. Bloodwork was good etc. Just too old apparently! Had a dc at 43 no problems.
Good luck to you op...

Omg! I cant believe i've read this! I'm also 47 and been ttc (admittedly not very seriously) for about 4 yrs. We had DS at 41. I never thought he'd be an only but circumstances didn't allow another. I hear stories of perfectly healthy babies born to women in their mid to late 40s and even early 50s but wonder how true they are. I have had alot of negative comments about ttc at my age so i've given up telling people. I think there's a chance it might happen although very slim. Btw my gp said the opposite to yours..that there's still hope. I'm on a 40+ ttc thread and i'd say it's worth getting on that. Good luck x
