Exactly as the title! The pink ones are the First Response Early Results v the ClearBlue Digital.
I think two positive FRERs, but the ClearBlue fancy one says “not pregnant”?! I was about to get all excited with my husband, until we took the ClearBlue, and now he says we shouldn’t get our hopes up as we have that negative... 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Photos attached! All with FMU.

Personally I would believe two positive FRERs over a negative CB, even the digital ones. CB digis aren’t all that reliable, especially in the very early days. Are you positive you’re 15 dpo? As in full on tracking with ov tests and temperature charting? Only because you could possibly have ovulated a few days later than you thought, in which case you could be anything from 10dpo onwards, for example, in which case it’s very early.

but, long story short, I’d say you’re pregnant. A false positive result is very rare, a false negative more common.

Congratulations!

FRERs measure anything as Lowe as 6.5mul. CB digi is 45mul. By my reckoning, your HCG right now is somewhere in the 20 range so give it 48 hours and you should see a positive result on the digital.

ReganSomerset · 07/07/2019 08:16

The clear blue ones are less sensitive. Try again in three days with fmu.

*Lowe = low. Oops.

I have been tracking ovulation using the digital ovulation sticks. I got my “smiley face” on 21st June - screenshot of my tracker.
I assumed (as the app has) that ovulation was probably the next day (and in fact, I “felt” that ovulating feeling that evening).

My husband won’t get excited until he sees ClearBlue. And it’s killing my vibe haha! I’m frightened in case my period comes.

I’m also crampy - I’ve been on and off crampy for a few days. I hope that doesn’t mean it won’t stick!!

Actually clearblue has a sensitivity of 25hcg - FRER is around 6hcg so that's 4 days difference if hcg doubles every 48 hours - I would give it another couple of days and try again

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 07/07/2019 08:34

Also did you get your peak ovulation in the morning or afternoon - if it's afternoon ivf clinics don't count the next day as ovulation day but the one after that so you could be a day earlier than you think

wannabemama0812 · 07/07/2019 08:41

For ovulation sticks, I only had the one with the “static” smiley face, and I got that with FMU, so I just assumed the day after was ovulation day.

My husband isn’t sure whether to get excited or not. We should be happy but the negative test is confusing him!

Am I allowed to be happy yet?
Or is this too provisional?

I got one positive and two negatives at about that stage. Some tests will miss it but it looks positive to me. Clear blue do an early non digital one that works 6 day early from period try that.

Yakadee · 07/07/2019 09:12

I got positive on frer days and days before I got one on a CB. I'd say you are and it's just not as sensitive xx

CG21 · 21/02/2021 09:10

@wannabemama0812 did you ever get a positive on your digital? I’m 15DPO and my period is 2/3 days late. I’ve had positives on FRER but not on digital x

StrawberryCupcake111 · 21/02/2021 13:45

I did get a positive on the clear blue digital a few days after this post. On that same day, I started to bleed and the hospital confirmed that the baby had died.

CG21 · 21/02/2021 14:55

@StrawberryCupcake111 I’m sorry to hear that. Sending love x
