Hi can someone help me?
Has anyone suffered with quite bad menstrual cramps and successfully got pregnant?
My first few days of period are unbearable and nothing helps.
And the 10 days leading up to it I get occasional cramps too
Been fobbed off at the docs few times now
.
Speaking to friends and family some dont get pains so I'm wondering what other peoples experiences are

Thanks in advance:)

As far as I'm aware from my research, cramps in and of themselves mean nothing wrt fertility. However, debilitating cramps are correlated with endometriosis which CAN (but doesn't always) correspond with infertility.

Endometriosis can only be diagnosed with surgery. It takes on average 7 years for a diagnosis after first approaching a doctor with pain... this is partly because cramps are common and partly because of sexism. The fact that it's only diagnosed through surgery means it's also difficult to diagnose conclusively.

But the best test of your fertility is trying to conceive. Even with endometriosis, many women have no issue concieving...
