So a few months ago I came off the pill to get my cycles back on track, I've been using ovulation sticks the last few months too and been tracking my cycle I seem to have an idea now of how long my cycles are and when I ovulate, I knew with my CM last month so I more or less know all the systems I have leading up to it.... been tracking that too. We decided back in March we would start trying July so now the time has come to start trying the problem is my husband is ready to start trying but he seems to struggle with the whole baby conservation and is struggling to take the leap even though he's ready for a baby. Any advise would be much appreciated thank you x

Welcome to TTC

My partner is totally on board with us ttc no 2, however he's not interested in the science behind the fact we only have approx 4 day fertile window to get busy.

So I stopped telling him when ovulation is due and made it more about us as a couple rather that dtd because it's the right time for possible conception and turning it into a chore.

🤞fingers crossed that it happens for you quickly

@FearnRJ I agree with @Michellebops , maybe just stop telling him when it's all due etc, me and my partner stopped our pill in April

However I ended up being the scared one! I just didn't feel like I wanted to DTD because of the unknown, scared that now it was possible for us to actually get PG wasn't sure if it was actually what I wanted, however now on to cycle 2 and it's all fun and games ☺️☺️

Just enjoy the baby making 👶🏻 keep it all calm for the first couple try's it doesn't always happen first time, took my friend 6 months to catch on, the thought of being a parent can be overwhelming to some people no matter how ready you are

Good luck 💕

@Michellebops @flossy12 thank you feel a little better now knowing it's not just me going through it. I've spoken to him about there's only a few days each month when I'm fertile but he doesn't know when ovulation actually is. He obviously is ready to start trying for a baby and I know it's a scary thing. He says he just needs to go ahead and get down to it 🤣🤣

I do hope it happens quickly for us if I'm honest thanks ladies x

My partner isn't that interested. He is letting us try for 6 months as a compromise. He does want another kid, in theory, just not the reality lol. So I just don't bother him with the ins and outs. When it happens, if it happens I'll tell him and take it from there.. I haven't explained that there's only a specific period it can happen.

I've found the men folk are happy to be getting some action 😂

As long as they are on board with ttc then there's no need to go deeper into details with them.
