Question about OPKs

Okay... so test at bottom was yesterday evening. A strong positive right?

Test at top was this evening. A negative, but still very visible.

I thought your LH levels dropped away after ovulation? I know there's no guarantee you definitely ovulated if using OPKs, but I expected tonight for there to be barely anything or just a faint line.

Not that it really makes any difference to anything but am curious.

Hi
A surge, or the highs after the tail end of a surge can last for days in some women. It doesn’t affect when you Ov, as it’s still 24-48 (avg of 36) hours after the initial surge.

We DTD both nights so I guess we've covered all bases then?!

Sounds like it!
Do you temp?
Its usually recommended that you keep DTD until you see your temp shift.

I don't... never tried it.

Do you do it every morning before getting up? With a regular thermometer?

You buy a special BBT thermometer as they have to be quite accurate to within about 0.001 of a degree (or something like that!)
But they can be pretty cheap. I spent about £25 on mine though just cos the ratings were good and the app is great (it analyses photos of your OPKs for you).

Yeah, you take your temp every morning before you get up and it’s great for confirming Ov.
