I’m about 5 weeks pregnant and around when AF was due I had period like cramps so I did a test and it was positive. Since then I’ve had more cramps that have made me wince slightly but after half an hour or so they have subsided. I had a mc in jan so I’m just panicking. I called the community midwife and she made me feel worse saying if I’m going to mc there’s nothing they can do and to just get on with it....I know that there isn’t anything they can do but I was called for support and got nothing. Anyway over the last two days I’ve had cramps where I imagine my uterus to be along with the urge to go to the toilet. I’ve had Diarrhea on both mornings followed by same cramps in the afternoon and urge to go but then I’m constipated..almost like trapped wind. Today I’ve noticed my breast sensitivity has reduced. I’m going out of my mind with worry here and I feel like I have no one to talk to :( please offer some advice. I’m scared another mc is on its way despite the fact I’m not bleeding xx

Hi - sorry you’ve had to experience m/c. Any pregnancy after m/c is so stressful but all I can say is each m/c I’ve had has been different and also my successful pregnancies (2) were different. Try not to judge this pregnancy with your last one Diarrhoea and wind are both symptoms of early pregnancy as is constipation. Every one is different and will experience different things. I remember in my second pregnancy which was sucessful Smile I had really strong period like cramps in the beginning and was so panicked by them as it literally felt like af was going to arrive but it turned out to be all normal and nothing to worry about. All you can do is wait and see and try to relax. Unfortunately, I know that it’s so hard when you have had a miscarriage but try not to worry. Seek medical help if the pain gets too painful and if there is any blood loss, but hopefully you are experiencing normal ligament pain associated with early pregnancy Smile I wish you every luck and will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hi @Claire78564
First off congratulations! I too am 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and also very nervous about miscarriages. I have had 4 before I had my DD.
Health worker-midwife sounds awful! How horrible for you.
Cramping at this stage is very normal, as long as you're not in excruciating pain and bleeding. As for sensitivity reducing that too can happen. That happened to me with DD and she is 2 now.
I have paid to book myself in for a private scan in a couple of weeks for some reassurance, is that something you could do to help your anxiety?
I really do sympathise with you, it's such a worrying time.
Sending sticky baby dust to you.

The is ladies congrats on your babies! Well the breast tenderness has come back a bit now haha. I did go doctors today and she said that the cramp is prob more related to toilet business which I’m inclined to agree a little because it does subside when I am able to open my bowels sorry for the tmi, and pass wind. I’ve just spent the past half hour doing some crazy yoga poses to get some gas out. I guess I’m just panicking because of the mc although this pregnancy has been so much more different to the last one. I will book an early scan for a couple of weeks time. I’m just praying we get there. The health worker was rubbish. I see my midwife who will be assigned to me on Monday so hopefully she can relieve my stress a little. Glad to hear these bowel related issues can be symptoms xx thanks again
